last resort

There is nothing more exciting than traveling to a warm and sunny climate during the winter. Glossy magazines with glamorous spreads of resorts tempt me this time of year.
I imagine myself peerfectly packed and landing happily in a spot full of sun, along with a fun and fabulous itinerary. What is the last resort you visited? Was it wonderful? Love to hear about your latest travels?
Anyone game for a little virtual escape?

I'd like to escape virtually and literally to a warm and sunny spot... thinking some Caribbean island would be nice this year!

It's been so long since we've done a winter get away to somewhere warm. Usually we head somewhere to ski. Next warm climate trip for us is Spring Break in Cabo!

It's funny! This year I am so glad to be snuggled up at home with the holidays over, I really have no desire to go anywhere. But we'll see how long that lasts in this cold weather!

LOVE your illustrations - so chic as usual. Actually, I don't get the urge for a sunny vacation until around mid-February. I am enjoying the cold temps. w/my warm coat, new green gloves and blue skies. :)

I love these illustrations--they make flying look fun! It's been a while since I've been somewhere warm and sunny, but we are counting down to a wedding in Mexico this spring! Can't wait.

LOVE your fun illustrations - especially since you are sitting looking chic with plenty of room in your lovely first class seat!! If travel were like that I'd be delighted to hop on a plane more often! I'm with PPT - net jets would be my dream present!!

Over the weekend I found myself at JCrew, looking longingly at gauzy shirts and capri pants. Here's hoping you find a little warm sun in the new year!

PVE,

Virtual is grand and I love how you've illustrated this great experience. This is a positive affirmation most certainly. This year you should consider illustrating a set of affirmation cards for you and us. You may have plenty of illustrations already!

This would keep us in our happy place no matter what or where we really are.

Happy New Year!

Oh Patricia, your gorgeous illustrations are putting ideas in my head!! The last time we went away in the winter it was to the Bahamas. It was a truly wonderful trip. I can *almost* feel the sun just thinking about it...sigh.:)

Ah, if only this was me and my honey jet-setting off. I would love to be anywhere warm and sunny ~ away from these grey skies we have had for weeks!
And love the fabulous resort wear coming out right now!
Happy New Year!

If only flying were that relaxing for me, lol.
My inlaws have a home at Hilton Head and we get down to visit several times a year. Though I'm more of a forest person than a beach person, it's hard to resist the healing powers of the ocean.

Patricia- I do escape New York in March for a week every year to visit my sister, who has lived in Tucson, Arizona and La Jolla, California and just moved to Portland, Oregon. Oregon is not as warm and sunny, but I still will consider it my escape from winter.

Two years ago I did get a true resort get-away as my sister-in-law married her Costa Rican husband in Costa Rica. It was in February and I still remember my first breaths of that tropical air when we got off the plane!
