carriage house

A carriage house holds special meaning for a couple who were married and stayed here. This commissioned work of art will serve as a lasting memory of a very special beginning. I love how places and times can immediately conjure up special memories. Do you have a special memory of a place you stayed? A work of art makes a wonderful gift to give.

I love how you include the American flag in many of your illustrations of homes. The Middlebury Inn, in Vermont, brings beautiful memories to mind.
Thanks for bringing these back to mind!! Happy New Year pve.

Favorite place that come to mind - Paris apt on the Left Bank! And, Cafe de Flore - which my son still talks about as his favorite place in Paris!

I know this will be such a special keepsake for this couple!

Very lucky couple...wouldn't it be fun to do a drawing of all of the special places a family has stayed over the years? Now THAT would be some kind of art wall!

Oh, that's so lovely Patricia. They must treasure it! I wish I had a painting of my husband's family's beach cottage (which has unfortunately been sold). It was where my husband proposed to me, so it's a place with very special meaning!

I love carriage houses - they are usually such charming cottages and you have, as usual, captured its special spirit.
