spouting off

Please forgive me for spouting off, I am rather proud of the way my teapots are getting along.
The round tea pot was a wedding gift, and I have enjoyed using it nearly every day for twenty plus years.
The smaller, more elongated tea pot is a fairly new addition, an original from Eva Zeisel. I love it for making my own jasmine tea. I found it at a local shop nearby and had to have it. I gave it to myself for my very own birthday. I used money from my Mom who always tells me -"Now do not use that for the children, you buy yourself something special."
Special spout, not so short and stout but still a lovely spout for pouring myself a cup of tea. I have a pretty flowery tea pot too, but that is for another post and for when I am feeling the need for a High tea with all the accoutrements.

Thanks for letting me spout off about my own little spouts. Speaking of spouting off, what sorts of tea pots do you possess or pine for?

great teapots! I use an old Wedgwood teapot, although I would love a big tomato sleepy face teapot for fun.

They are so nice. Question I'm just starting to like making tea and collecting tea pots what do you clean them with? I bought some at flea market so pretty but they are stained. Have a wonderful Friday.

Frau-
the best is a simple solution of baking soda and white vinegar. Let it soak, one t. of each in watter and all the tea stains will vanish. Then wash well with soap and water.

I have a few special teapots! And that gives me a good idea for a post-thank you PvE! The one I usually use is a plain white, perfect for two cups! There will be no tea today, as it is suppose to climb into the 90's! Perhaps some iced-tea! Have a great day and weekend!

Love teapots. And funny enough --- I probably drink coffee more, but the look of teapots is just so precious. I have a white porcelain one edged in gold from a thrift shop and my white Juliska one - it's pudgy. And, your mom sounds like mine!!

LOVELY! Great bday gift :-)
My everyday teapot (well, more like twice a day!) is similar to this really; martha for macys in pure white. Beautiful round shape and delicate handle. It holds 2 large mug fulls easily. I love it! The first one actually broke and I hunted down a 2nd one at a macy's way out in the burbs when the one here in the city stopped carrying it!.

Great find. It's tres pretty. I use my trusty stainless I got in London - I figured it must make good tea. I can't drink tea, however, in an ugly mug. I have a crazy collection of tea cups and saucers - I'm like an old lady!

Your teapots are beautiful! I haven't seen mine in four years...haven't found them yet amongst the many boxes that still need to be unpacked! So...I've been a teabag in mug gal! xo

I love that your mom reminds you to spend your birthday money on yourself and not the kids- what a sweet mom you have!

We have a Wedgwood Countryware pot for every day (I am a tea drinker, but hubby is a coffee fanatic....Dunkin Donuts sent him a VIP card) and a lovely antique silver pot inherited from my Godmother for our Sunday teatime. I adore yours, pve, they are so simple and just lovely! And your mum is right - spend it on you!!!

I love drinking tea (not a coffee drinker), but I don't use a fancy teapot or one at all. I get hot water from my husband's Keurig and then pop a tea bag in the mug. Having a teapot would be more fun!

I love to drink tea. And I love to buy teapots. I just realized, however, I seldom serve my tea in a teapot. Funny...

What lovely teapots you have - very elegant. My mother used to collect them and one of those she had was a cube shaped one which was used on Cunard liners in the 1930's. It could only be described as a one cup pot though. We have a hand-me-down one at home - it's a bit like the traditional 'Brown Betty'.
