easy care

pve design - summer shore usa
Summer is a time when life slows down and cares should be easy.  I have always loved the shore at summer, where one finds canvas totes, terry towels, lots of navy and white and just being out near the ocean. Thick head bands, easy-care cottons, perky prints, striped swimsuits, sandals, sunscreen, seagulls soaring and the sound of sails flapping, buoys buoying and the laughter of children playing in the waves without a care in the world, except catching the next wave or ice cream truck.

I do indeed hope that you are having an easy-care summer day, sand and all.

Your words and illustration captures the essence of the beach. I've noticed people don't seem to look stressed, while at the beach. The sun, the breeze and especially the sound of the ocean all lend itself to feeling carefree.

Here in Maine we need more sun, before we can head to the ocean. So much rain! I love the feel of the the beach. The scent in the air can put me over the edge with delight. I love this illustration and would love to be stretched out in one of those lounges.

I love the feel of sand between my toes. I've got the itch to get to the beach and your illustration took me there. Thank you.

Purple Flowers-
I am planning a trip to the shore for a weekend and am getting so excited. Frankly, I am just so looking forward to hearing the ocean and packing an easy care wardrobe too!

Deidra,
I am thinking of all that sand - it could be my Ebenezer.

If I listened carefully I could hear the laughter of children on the beach and in the water, with the ice cream truck coming down the road in the background.

Oh Patricia- I know I repeat myself over and over... but I LOVE your illustrations and the beautiful words to go with them.

Have a golden day my friend! xoxo

No sand but lots of cicadas singing away and much time spent at the swimming pool. I love your painting and the feelings your words conjure up. The French country summer is very different but lovely all the same. xv

So nice, a post I can almost touch. The sounds, scents and state of mind at the shore are of the MOST pleasant gifts of being alive on earth. I live in a coastal community and often take it for granted. But I am, at this very moment, planning my escape for a day on the sand.

Beautiful illustration! The warm weather really brings on a relaxed carefree feeling. That is why I love Maui. :)
