Central Park

Central Park Bethesda Fountain, New York City
I am one foot out the door, on my way to Central Park to sketch and paint.  More about this later.
Many artists will be flocking to see and to paint plein air with this painter.

Since I'm working backwards on these last few posts, I've already seen what you came up with as a result of painting in Central Park. I've especially enjoyed the fountain sketches due to living in Aix-en-Provence, France, for a year. Aix is THE most beautiful little city and is loaded with fountains from Roman to modern times, from humble to grand in style. Living with and amongst fountains for so long has sealed my love for them. Seeing your gentle sketches of the Bethesda Fountain calls up tender visions of Aix for me.
