Father's Day game

Today is Father's Day and I think of the many men all over the world who have had the great fortune to be a Father. Many men provide great role models, coaches, teachers, leading young men by example and today I would like to pay tribute to all the Fathers. I captured this photo of our sons and their Varsity soccer team arm to arm after a fun "fundraising" game. I love knowing that these boys will one day in the future make great Fathers too.

Anything special planned today for the Dads in your life?

Dada

Why is it that the first words I uttered were Dada!  Absurd, because my Dad was working 24-7 to build the business which is still going strong while my Mom raised the seven of us.  A father to seven children and a mentor to many.  My Dad has been a mentor to me and always has something nice to say.  The positivity he exudes is amazing.  For years, I have always made cards for my Dad and I have saved some of them.  Here is one of me and my Dad.  The scan is a little blurry but can you feel the love!

Like Father,Like Son

Yes, it is that time of year, time to remember Dad!  Father's Day is this Sunday, always the third Sunday in June since 1910.  What do you have planned for your Father, or your husband? 

 I love preparing a fun day here for the Father of my children.  We always make him some "cool" cards and do something nice for him!  Take time to prepare a fun Father's day, because, if you have a son or daughter, you will want them to learn the importance of the tradition of honoring Dad!  Someday they may be a Father or be a really great Uncle.
