winner

pve design artowork - a commission of "Dewey" for private client
I was honored to illustrate this lovely horse last year.
Growing up in Kentucky and living nearby Rock Creek Riding Stables, I always loved visiting the stables, admiring the riders and the horse shows. I enjoyed going to Churchill Down's too.
Horses are such amazing animals. Many artists are inspired by their beauty.
My dear and talented friend Elizabeth Belliveau has created some incredible works of art for winning horses. Does your horse need a winning tribute?
With an image of your choice...
housed within a custom round
quilted suede and embroidery
panel frame 26 3/4 x 26 3/4
black clay gold carvings, graphite panels
adorned with fly whips and decorative metal
elements.
I love the hardware and the elegant silk & suede used in these stunning pieces. Can you see them hanging in a library or a Riding Club? Perhaps every young rider or equestrian would dream of having their winning horse hanging in their very own room.
We saw "Secretatariat" last night and loved it. Have you seen the movie? All I want to draw now are horses, strong women and men wearing funny hats. Does your thoroughbred need a special work of art or did that movie make you want to own a winning thoroughbred?

artistic scrolls to give

Artistic scrolls by Elizabeth Belliveau
The gift of art is always such a wonderful and unique gift. My dear friend Elizabeth has created some images that have been artfully produced on scrolls. The East meets West influence is a lovely and modern way of showcasing her work. The fine photographs are shipped rolled and can be hung in many settings. These are some of her works hung in her home.
If you are looking for an original gift or some art, please think of Elizabeth.
Some of us may still be feeling the after affects of the holidays, but what about giving this for a special birthday or graduation gift.

Art spans generations and can be just the thing to inspire a budding collection. Scrolls are shipped in an archival tube topped with an elegant bit of hardware that Elizabeth found to compliment her old world soul. Elizabeth has a blog here.

fashionable friends

Fine Art Photographer Elizabeth Belliveau and Artist, Patricia van Essche "pve"

One of the most wonderful things about friendships is seeing what's next. A career in fashion was the perfect place to meld a love of art and design as well as inspiration to always look ahead for a fashionable life. After all, friends and family prove to be an incredible source of strength and constancy in a world that is always looking for the next new collection.

Last week, I had the great pleasure of being in wonderful company of my dear friend Elizabeth.
We met whilst working in Fashion and our career paths crossed twice, now, make that three times. After our life in fashion, we both chose to raise our families while never straying far from our love of design and the creativity that we honored in each other. We have provided each other with enthusiasm and encouragement and validity. I always admire Elizabeth's dedication to her work as well as her family. Our desire to be there for our families, yet long for a creative outlet as well as rewards has been a common thread of our friendship.

She is the photographer who snapped the amazing shot of me in the upper right hand corner, (that so many of you comment on, time and again.) My artwork and her fine art photo images are on view at Sandra Morgan Interiors. Please take a moment to view Elizabeth's wonderful site and leave her a comment here to inspire her to start her very own blog! I will make sure that all your comments are sent to her. My fashion day friends are like that, supportive, encouraging as well as thoughtful. Do you have friends who have provided support and motivation along your quest?

voila!

At long last, my dear friend has a site and it has launched.  I invite each of you to take a look at her wonderful work.  She has a gift to see, to photograph and create fine art.  I was fortunate enough to have the above photograph of me taken several years ago.  There were laughs and shrills of delight when the photos arrived.  Voila, Elizabeth Belliveau has a web site, voici!

childhood innocence

William and his dog - portraiture by Elizabeth Belliveau

a girl by - Elizabeth Belliveau

These incredibly lovely portraits were done by my dear friend Elizabeth.  You remember her, the one who photographed me, the one with the amazing eye for capturing beauty.  Well, she also has the ability to capture childhood innocence in a portrait.  Can you imagine commissioning one of these.  I adore them.

She is looking for work and would love to hear from you.  Her site will soon be launching.  Just consider me a cheering squad.  I am just so excited, I can hardly wait.  I keep telling her she will have tons of work soon and that she really needs a blog.

What dost thou think?  Love for you to applaud and then leave a comment.  I will make sure she gets every single one.
