just in case

About a week ago, when I happened to be checking my e-mail in box - this photo of this attache case monogrammed with a PVE came to me from Janet at The Gardener's Cottage.

I love the patina of this type of leather.
It only seems to get better over time.
This case would have come in handy to carry and store my lap top yesterday.
When the back hatch of my car was opened, my lap top fell out and now has a nice dent on the corner. I wonder if lap tops will ever be designed to age with a patina over time or will we always be thinking of the next better, faster, newer model is an automatic given.
As my thoughts turn to Autumn and packing up my twins for college, I also think of carmel colored leathers and back-to-school bags that will stand the test of time.
Just in case you have a horse, this one remind's me of a vintage saddle.
Do you carry your lap top in a case?

Those are all beautiful bags....I rarely take my lap top out only when I travel and I have a padded case. Sorry yours took a tumble hope no internal damage. Have a wonderful Friday!

Frau-
No, it works just fine. Everyone just tells me, you can get a new one. I hate the thought. It goes against my, "It's just fine" grain!

I adore caramel colored leathers. That Mulberry bag is stunning...I have had one on my lust list for awhile! xx

Love the caramel color of the leathers.

Don't you wonder who owns that case and has the same initials?

I'm with you I keep things till the very end.

A good thing your computer only has a ding and nothing serious. To look at the bright side, the ding will always bring you back to the memories of your trip to the Hamptons. :) xo

I love that she sent you that pic! I always say if I ever find an antique with my monogram, I hope it's gorgeous because I'll have to buy it! How could you pass up? That could be the basis for a great book.. A person finds an antique with her monogram, purchases it, the story of the original monogram owner working every other chapter... somehow they connect in the end... hokey, but I love it!

Ugh, so sorry to hear about your laptop! I've been eyeing that Mulberry bag in the middle photo for a few weeks now. They were all over Europe this summer.

Happy Friday to you.

PVE,

Sorry to hear about your laptop...ouch!

Love the leather bags and yes I have a computer bag for my laptop it's by Level 8 (Apple Store) for my MAC Book Air. It's black extremely thin and has a crated interior for shock protection.

Happy weekend!
