I have raised a flag and will certainly be remembering what today is all about. Have a wonderful rest of your week.
Patricia, When my late husband passed I gave his military flag to his son. It has taken me too long and now I am going to to replace it!

We raised our flag yesterday, I hugged a vet in the grocery store, big baby wimpered and we went to the parade this morning. Now we're doing some big time mowing after a week of rain!

Amen Patricia. God bless every single one of the amazing heroes who make this the best country in the world. We are so blessed.
I went to a Memorial Day ceremony in the town I was born in. The older Military men standing so proud in their uniforms brought tears to my eyes. I shook hands with them, and one even "stole" a kiss. It was funny. Came home, looked at our flag and had a little cry.
What a lovely post! We did celebrate our freedom and give thanks!
