knit nuptials

The forthcoming royal nuptials are certainly inspiring many crafty items to commemorate the wedding. How about this adorable knitted couple for topping the cake. It certainly takes the cake. Will you be buying any sort of kitschy memorabilia or knitting a royal couple to honor this historic event? How fun that I happened to find this on my knitting day! What's knot to love? Love to see what souvenir "Aspiring Kennedy" falls in love with?

Love the knits...I would maybe buy a little plate souvenir or something small. I would love to be in England now with all the goings on I think it would be so exciting to watch.

Wow, that knitting project looks difficult . . . but so cute.

I would love some of the great British stamps of the lovely couple.

Fondly,
Glenda

I remember my little British grandmother, Rose, collected plates and tea cups and all sorts of commemorative wear, and recently we found the newspaper she saved from when Queen Elizabeth was crowned. In her honor, I'm sure I will pick up a little something to carry on the tradition, kitschy or no. These little Knit-wits are sweet! XO

Perhaps the royals will inspire an English Country collection for fall... This is definitely a stay home and knit day!

How adorable! I still have a coin commemorating Charles and Diana's wedding, given to me by our British neighbors in 1981. I wonder where that thing is...

Tying the knot becomes a whole new meaning...knitted together!
Very clever done these two!
I am a royalist of sorts, given my passions I should get a cup and saucer....

Jenny-
How exciting to be getting married -during the time of another historic wedding. All marriages are royal in my humble opinion.
Wishing you lots of love,
pve

Kwana,
We should have a tea in honor of the royal wedding.
I remember watching it at college....Princess Di.
Her dress was like a cream puff!

Stefan,
I bet if they had a royal snoopy....maybe you might buy that....or the building where they are married?

art2cee2-
we made the recycled beads yesterday - it was great fun.

Since I've been consumed with buying things for my own wedding, the royal wedding has not crossed my mind much. Well, other than I'm very greatful that we are not getting married on the same day. Dont want to be upstaged by the utterly beautiful Kate now :)

That's actually adorable. I'm not in to kitschy memorobilia but I love this duo!

My grandmother was born in Liverpool. As a result, I have quite a bit of memorabilia from Charles and Diana's wedding (that relatives sent over for us. It was a VERY big deal for Gram!) and can't help but find myself excited to add to the collection. I even got a little weepy when I saw Diana's ring on Kate's finger. Am so sorry Gram isn't still here to take all of this in with me!

I'm headed to London for work in March and can't wait to fetch my souvenir pieces in person.
