monday motivation - be daring

Sure, there are many artists who inspire and motivate me to create, but one artist that I just adore is the artwork of Cecil Beaton. Perhaps it was his passion for capturing society in his artwork, his photography or just his innate sense of daring style.  I have looked at this so many times and I adore the reflection of the chandelier in the mirror and all the various vignettes in this room.   What an imagination.

Who motivates you to be daring and different?

Hi Patricia,
I think being a little "older" (and I use that term kindly) makes me more sure of myself. If you aren't different than you aren't different! Totally inane way of saying it but why bother to follow the herd.
I've done my best work when following "To Thine Own Self Be True." Isn't that what clients hire us for?
Lots to think about today!

Love that painting too. So much detail. Can't quit put my finger on who inspires me to be different. I think my mom just raised us all to be strong independent people and to be true to ourselves.

I love that painting and the idea to be original. I certainly feel you are!!!

I am inspired by so many creative women....being a part of the blog world has opened my eyes and hearts to things that I would never have encountered.

Here's to all the talented people, like you, who share their talent and their positive spirit.

Happy new week!

That painting is absolutely grand!
Different? Daring? I do my share! Very few, if any, understand me in my Community! I am who I am, but it has been a challenge to "fit" in!

What a great sentiment to start the week, PVE, and the chandelier in the mirror was the first thing we saw. Doesn't it look like someone is hanging from it? Hope you have a daring week!

Patricia, Cecil Beaton has always been a favorite of mine and this painting is fabulous.

I am inspired on a daily basis by my mother whom I work for, by my friends and by all of the beautiful blog writers.

Thank you for your offer to give me a list of supplies to begin painting! I would love it!

Have a beautiful week, Elizabeth

I love this painting too! The details and colors are gorgeous. I'm inspired by the illustrator Maira Kalman and so many others that I encounter in my wanderings.

What a difference to see an image through an artist eye.....I doubt I would have ever noticed that was the reflection of the chandelier! Inspiration seems to come from everyone these days....you just have to look :)
