sweater weather

On a recent college tour with my son, we viewed a wonderful exhibit showing all sorts of incredible stitchery, titled the "Critical Stitch."
The design along with the execution of this crocheted coat on this carrier pigeon was impressive.
It made me smile to think of a carrier pigeon sporting a coat.

The Randomly selected (via random number generator) of the REAL SIMPLE "Celebrations" book is Eddie Ross. I did it twice and it came up number 5! Congrats to Eddie!

Incredible! The stitcher of this bird is an artist, not a craftsman. It is so inspiring to see what ideas people have and how they express them.

It's at once funny....and impressive. The more closely I looked, the more I recognized the stitching talent!

Yay for Eddie - how appropriate since he does a Celebration better than anyone I know!!

I am loving the early mornings here as they are definitely 'sweater weather'!
ps...I had no idea you had a son old enough to go to college! Great fun and I'll be thinking of you when he goes away!

Congratulations to Eddie! He needs to write a "Celebrations" book of his own!
