honest

My sister sent me this painting that she painted. She had to paint it quickly and was pleased with the results that she captured "honest Abe." I love the tonality and the simplicity.
If you are interested in purchasing this work it is 8 x 10 and for sale.

What qualities do you admire in a citizen?
I do respect those who are honest and upright and sport bow-ties.

Have an honest-to-goodness weekend.

Winner of the "Simple Blogging" guide goes to Claudia at "Wish you were here" blog.

I love your sister's painting, the tonal quality does make it simple, but the texture gives it depth.
Bow ties are a good and honesty so important. Loyalty, integrity and the ability to laugh at oneself are qualities I appreciate.
Hope your weekend is tied up in beautiful bow!

i have to tell you ...
when i opened your post this morning
i was so struck by this magnificent piece
by your sister that i left my laptop open
on the table with her painting full screen
just so i could keep looking at it as i went
about my morning chores ...
the simplicity, yet bold strokes are captivating!
bravo!
so blessed you both are with your gifts ... : )

i admire all qualities of genuine goodness ...
