happy light

Love the look of this office and working with so much happy light.

I know artists are traditionally supposed to love Northern light and cast shadows, but my new studio will have lots of big windows and happy natural light. As our clocks will spring ahead this weekend and our days will be full of light I am motivated by that, by the happy light.

Are you motivated by more light in your day?

Absolutely - and it's much easier to get the boys out of bed! Hope your day is happy and light.

I'm SO looking foward to the longer days = more sunlight. Those short, dark days of winter just make me want to veg after dinner. During spring and summer, it's like getting another half day.
Best,
Susan

Totally! I love the act of going room to room raising the shades everyday to flood the house in light when I home.

My husband is the happy lighter in our house. Although I love light when I am painting, in my private space of my bedroom I sometimes draw the curtains. Then he comes along and opens up every single window, even the one in the bathroom so at night I have to go around and shut them al, even the bathroom. I do however shut down when the sun sets...I just can't seem to get things done then, so yes, the longer days will be a welcome change :-)

Let me worship the light!
I could do as the old Egyptians: Praising the Sun God!
There is nothing more uplifting!

And your glorious studio will be a de-light!

I'm loving the light and the longer days -- I'm also very motivated by light, I find it so much easier to get out of bed and start the day on a sunny summer day than in the dead of winter. Your new studio sounds heaven. Perfect for creativity!

I love/need natural light! I didn't realize it until we moved into a garden level city apt last year. It had bars on the windows:(

I made a sewing area in our basement - and I just can't function there... I ended up moving things to my bedroom. I needed the light - the sun and the trees. I decided basements are only good for storage... and maybe movies.

I am ALL about the sunlight! Now that my desk is in front of the window...I don't know why I wasn't here all along.

The first thing I do in the morning is throw back the curtains in my bedroom, to see what kind of day we will be having.

I find I have an extra little bounce in my step when the sun is out!

PVE,

I live in light and have a home with lots of windows (26). So every room at some point has great light. My cats (now passed) use to go upstairs in the back bedrooms for sunlight and by evening they'd be in the livingroom front window as I arrived home.

We're all children of the light and spring is on it's way yay!

G and I were daydreaming the other day and one of my wishes was someday to have a house that faces the north. I bet you can't wait for the light to be in your new pve corner.
