can-do

At last, inspiration in a can, guaranteed 100% effective against procrastination, indecision and dormancy. Now how nice would that be to just pop open a can of inspiration for positive results.

How thrilled am I to know that since my blog journey began that I have in some way been a source to inspire others on a path to create or design their very own dream into a reality.

Two summers ago while in Chicago on business, a blog reader invited me to lunch and she shared her passion for wanting to start a business that would allow her to design and create a more artful life while raising her family. She held a position that was flexible, but longed for something more creative. How thrilled was I to speak to her and know that perhaps I helped to inspire her (and her partners) to launch Inspire HG. You can order from them at their etsy site or attend their upcoming show in Western Springs, IL. (see site for details)

I would Love to know if my blog may have given you a push to design, create or inspire a more artful life . Leave a comment or contact me if you have a story to share. I would be happy to share your story with others. A "can-do" attitude is inspirational not only to me but to so many readers.

Ronda,
Thank-you. Just yesterday, I was ranting and raving about making broth with a secret water!
See what you inspired, the waters run deep.

Acanthus and Acorn,
and highly organized individuals like you inspire me.
I always am impressed with the spaces you transform, your breakfast bar to your soap bars!
Have a "can-do" kind of day!

Frau -
Just last week there was a terrible storm, down in Brooklyn and a lady of "89" years old spoke on the news about how lucky she was to find a spot to park right in front of her brownstone and then how lucky that she was that the tree that landed on her car, did not land on her home. I think we all have to look for the "luck" or the positive "can-do" in our lives. Might I add, that the 89 year old woman looked amazing, not a day over 70 - so a positive image helps in more ways than one!

Kwana,
All we can do is to dig deep, or find the can within and to know that even during the most difficult challenge that we must remain calm, and have an attitude that all things will work out.
Thanks for your kind words, now please stick to your writing.

Generally I'm inspired by a mixture of curiosity and naivete. I had no idea what this bloggy life involved. Now I am inspired by the encouragement every one has given me. All the encouragement makes me strive to do a better job, than the last time.
Best,
Liz

Patricia, You helped inspire and create the blogger in me. Then, you helped me illustrate the blogger in me. And, you continue to inspire the person behind the blogger.

Thank goodness for you, your art, but above all....your heart!

I am reminded of your business everyday when I think to myself that it would be so nice to do what I love all day long and get paid. You get to do what you love everyday and I cant wait till I can do the same myself :)

I love that can of inspiration! Patricia, you have inspired me in more ways than I can count. I also think of part of your blog description as a kind of mantra: "...to design, create and inspire an artful life" - thank you, always.
Best,
Colleen

The can is too funny. But seriously, your very kind and positive attitude is always inspiring. We can invariably count on you to be supportive and encouraging in our creative endeavors. I am inspired by the thirst for knowledge - I have the "need to know" bug and have finally found an eager audience with whom I can share all my discoveries and learn from theirs.

The artwork, the prose, and the kindness contained in your entries are consistently beautiful and certainly serve as a springboard for others' creativity, including mine (an aspiring yet still inexperienced blogger myself).

It was so thoughtful of you to come over to the MWM blog and leave words of encouragement.

To that end, thank you for asking me to pose a question on manners (I hope this is the right place to do so. If it is not, please accept my apology and let me know the proper protocol):

We have all heard that saying that “people often treat those they love the worst.” Indeed, some people treat manners as something to dust-off and showcase only on special occasions and only for “important” people (interpreted to mean “not family”). We, however, know that manners are what make every day and everything a bit more special. How did you use your manners today to demonstrate to loved ones that they are truly appreciated? For example, when I played with my girls after work and right before bedtime, I gave them my undivided attention while my work blackberry sat ignored in the other room. And I thanked my husband for making a great dinner after his long day at the office.
