pug in a pea

I could not resist illustrating this "pug in a pea coat" which I spotted over here.
Rover has a blog too.
Pea jackets and pugs just seem to be in vogue.
I added this bias stripe edge to give it a sailor flair.
Is there a pet in your life that requires a new classic fashion and an illustration?
What sort of fall fashion would your pet wear?

The post says that it was sent at 0400am! Does that mean you are an early bird? I think this is divine. Got to love a pug.....

We have two loveable and much-loved hounds in our home.
One is a boxer...no more needs to be said I'm sure, and the other is a Frankendog.
Frankendog? I can hear you murmur.
Yes he was saved at the eleventh hour from the pound and it literally looks like he has had two separate dogs mashed together, the front doesn't match the backend. He's a lovely long-haired black lab at the front and not sure what's happening at the other end. So if this conjours an image for drawing be my guest, I'd be intrigued to see the results.

Good Morning!Your illustrations are just beautiful...that pug surely has a personality! We have 2 chesapeake bay retreivers and they would probably be dressed in hunting gear (even though they don't hunt!) --Gretchen O.

You had me at Pug, Patricia! OMG - I NEED to have this illustration. And then can we say that it is Pablo (sort of) since it looks exactly like him?

My Maggie has a very stylish barn coat with a plaid interior and a red corduroy collar - very L.L. Bean! Wonder if these pea coat styles come in larger sizes - there so cute!

No doubt this handsome pug is the
captain of his ship (home).
Your fine art talent and sense of
whimsy are the PVE winning combination.
Have a good one,

Oh this image makes me smile! We had a pug, Lola, for 7 years. She always brought so much live and joy to our lives!! She was also a little fashion mavin, with sweaters, tons of coats, and of course Halloween outfits. Thank you for sharing something sooo sweet. xo

What a cutie. Jack does wear his plaid raincoat for us. He's quite cute in it.

Martha-
I was taught that the early bird gets the worm....
so yes, I am an early riser, but I do indeed go to bed with the chickens!
Pugs seem to tolerate fashions so well!
pve

Felicity-
hmm, a Frankendog, I would make him wear some sort of cape, a la Sherlock Holmes.
pve

Tiffany -
a pug in some tiffany diamonds would be swell....
pve

des. traveler,
do you have a dog, i bet a minimal breed of sorts?
something sleek, like a grey hound or a ?
pve

Gretchen O-
Send me a photo of your chesapeake bay retreivers
and the hunting gear, would that be bright orange or camo?

PVE,

Most little dogs put up with our fashion fetish. Bless them one and all. I love dogs and mine passed over almost a year ago this month she was a husky/chow and was always warm so her fashion was her fur. Fun post.

How adorable. I didn't think a pug could get any cuter til I saw this creation in a pea-coat! My dog would rip any clothing to shreds, but my daughter just bought her a ballerina costume for Halloween.

So so cute! I beg my fiance for a dog everyday, I keep telling him its the first step before kids. I think he is starting to agree, hopefully I can have my own version of this pug in a pea :)

What a lovely little pug in a coat. With all the rain were having today, I think my 2 little dogs could do with wellington boots!

Adorable! Such a cute Pug in a Pea! While out shopping last week-I saw a navy blue pea-coat baby bunting... How cute would that be for a wee one?

This cracks me up, we have a black pug, what would he wear in a portrait? I'm coming up blank...but I don't dare show this to my kids, they would certainly start campaigning for just such a portrait.

Oh Patricia - how did I miss this - simply adorable. If we didn't have our dog (a very large lab), the kids' vote was for a pug - they are just so cute.

Adore this!!! I will have to think about my principessa golden and what she will adorn herself in...I kind of think she is a Gucci kind of girlie, regal and fashionable, just the right amount of class, but the right amount of sass!
