dog days of summer

cooling off on a "hot" summer day in the pool
illustrated by pve design

This illustration was done for a fellow blogger who spotted my "pet story" post and sent me some photos of her little one with these dogs enjoying a summer day.  "Ain't life grand!"
I quickly did this one and just had to post it.  I love that those dogs look as if they are baby-sitting for her and if they could talk, this is what I think they would say,
"Nope, ya can't get in the pool now, not til Mom comes back from the store and besides there is not enough room in here for the three of us."

Precious! I've been thinking about getting Winston a "kiddie pool" to play in- this picture did it for me! Consider it bought! ;)

Well that is the most precious little piece of art! And I agree with your assessment of what's going on..."sorry kid...we're too doggone hot to make room for you." :-)

Just adorable. Edward and Apple can so relate, although Edward would flatly refuse to get his feet wet.

How nice! I like the juxtaposing of the dogs in the pool and the child out!

Adorable.

Our renovation is still in process and I'm still out at our cabin with the dogs. When things have settled down a bit, I'll be in touch about an illustration of the gang.

I love your work.

Patricia: Love this illustration. It is Summer personified! Can almost hear the water running and the dogs panting. A great job!
