faux naif

Happy Anniversary to my husband today!
Yes, this fabulous cymbidium blossom looks "for real"~ however it requires no care and will last forever.

Today, I shall be celebrating twenty-two years of marriage! I think back to our rehearsal dinner. A simple centerpiece of an orchid floating inside small clear bowls on top of circular mirrors graced the tables. Everyone loved the simplicity.

If only I had known about her and her ingenious and glorious twin daughters then, I would have had the option of a "faux fleurs!" Faux means no maintenance which is easy to love. Do you have any faux flowers in your home or are you all about keeping it real?

Happy anniversary! That is great! And thank you for your positive comment on my "dining solo" post. :)

As far as faux, I love real flowers- the scent, etc. however, faux is so easy and I have several. That way, I am sure to have flowers around all the time.

My parents celebrated their 50th at my house with a huge crowd. It was perfect. The flowers were Casablancas and pine(a favorite combination), white roses in mass, carambola & orchids. Some intoxicating fragrances- and this is what I would miss. So I keep it real,Your flowers are infinitely more memorable because they were-flowers shouldn't last-that is for the best marriages. Happy Anniversary

Happy anniversary and many more happy years for you together!

And flowers: I usually keep it real, but I have to say, some of the faux flowers are fabulous and I would consider them. But in general I love the life factor, the scents, the slow aging process and the keeping of plants and grow them too!

You must have been married in your teens! Though we recommend our flowers throughout the year, there is something special about your wedding bouquet... mine was fresh, a replica of my grandmothers but the church flowers were all Diane James!

Have a Happy Anniversary and a beautiful day!

Happiest of anniversaries and best wishes for many, many more.

Flowers don't last too long around here. Mrs. E. and I are always tempted by the silk ones...
