feathering the nest

I love feathers.
Turkey feathers to be exact.
Feather beds, down-filled feather pillows and feathering the nest for the holidays.
Fall foliage, golden acorns and plumage added to compose a wonderful wreath,
adds a natural elegance to any door.
or to one's headress

I would be tickled to wear this on Thanksgiving day!

Tell me - are you busy feathering the nest for Thanksgiving?
Wishing each of you a Happy Thanksgiving.

Leaving our nest for dinner at my parents, and then a restful weekend on an island in the Puget Sound. Can't wait!

Patricia- What gorgeous feather images!

Except for the strutting preschool turkey with construction paper feathers on the frigde, our home will skip all Thanksgiving decorations as we will be feasting elsewhere.

I sent out your earrings today - look for them on Wednesday!

Love that feathered headband.
We are feathering the nest here with good food, candles, and music.
But most importantly for us it's not the amount of chairs, but who is sitting on the chairs.

Best wishes for a lovely Thanksgiving with family.

Beautiful pics, and even though we're heading into Summer here, I must confess, I love Fall too. And feathers are some of my favourite things to paint - thanks for sharing those lovely images with us. K xx

Happy Thanksgiving! I had mysterious feathers on my peacoat today. Don't know why. Sometimes mysteries are good.

ADORE your feather illustration and feathers in arrangements etc - definitely add a touch of glamour. I am indeed feathering my own nest as I always host Thanksgiving.

I am so loving feathers! Grant brought back from KS from a pheasant he shot - not sure exactly how to incorporate them yet - but they'll go great with my Spode Woodland plates!
