san francisco tweet

I really was inspired by the "teen" room Grant Gibson designed for the Elle Decor showhouse in San Francisco. Love the nonchalance of the magazines, the moroccan pouf and the popcorn filled bowl! That de Gournay wallpaper is timeless~
Grant has such a way with interiors, photography and food. I have been a huge fan of his work ever since his blog began. Take a look at his site here.
How fun would it be to have a sleepover here~ I love the mix, that wallpaper, the wild zebra and the pink and green! Great job Grant! I spotted this over here yesterday and felt so inpsired to illustrate that room. Wouldn't you love to have an illustration of your teenage dream room?

How inspiring is that room? I love that he wrote about the process on his blog, and your painting is gorgeous (I like that you added popcorn and sneakers!).

I never liked animal print as a teen and this room could have turned me around in a heartbeat. Plus I think I could sleep in a version of that room now as an adult.

Kayla,
I know - animal prints seem to be everywhere...I love them mixed in a Jackie O sort of way - they are classic.

Love Grant's room & your illustration! It does look like you could step right into it. Wish my SF trip had been later so I could see the room in person.

Exhuberant is the word that comes to mind looking at this room. Grant designed a classic.
Tell me, PVE, is the popcorn plain or buttered?
