sitting pretty

Today, I will be sitting pretty at a luncheon organized by "Pretty Pink Tulips" along with none other than our very own "Eddie Ross" and Jaithan right here in the land of Westchester.

The above artwork happens to be the latest header that I illustrated for "Pretty Pink Tulips" - You may recall I had illustrated a bike for her with a basket of pretty pink tulips, however since summer is over, it was time to put the bike away.

Did you know that if you put a copper penny or two in a vase of tulips, they will sit up straight? After all, my dutch Mother-law knows all about pretty tulips.
I learned from Eddie that tulips still grow after they are cut. Imagine that!
I love that we can all share so many pretty things with one another here in blog-land.

Have fun at your fab luncheon Patricia! And thank you for passing on your penny tip--I don't have the best luck with cut flowers although I adore them, so now I will hunt for some tulips at the next farmer's market!

These pink tulips are a wonderful hit of spring on a rainy and cold Seattle morning. Thanks for the uplift! I hope everyone has a wonderful time!

I hope you had a great time at lunch. I have a feeling you did. Eddie is coming back to IL next year and to one of my favorite places. My friend Gregg put the bug in someone's ear and he is going to be in Woodstock at their opera house!!

You will be lunching in style Patricia; cannot think of better company. The header for PPT is tremendous, but then again, your art always is.

Enjoy your day!

Cheers ~ Deb

* your book was shipped on Monday media mail. Thanks again Patricia x

Patricia,
I am just now making my rounds as I was "busy" setting up today. What a treat to have you there today!

And, the bike is in the virtual garage but you know it will reappear when the tulips are blooming outside again!

Hi, thanks so much for visiting and commenting on my blog the other day. The tiles on my ensuite floor are 'loft berlino (marrone)' and are 300mm x 600 - they are a beautiful chocolate. The wall tiles are standard white gloss 300mm x 600mm. Hope this helps.
Love your artwork by the way - am now a follower. Michelle
