azure escape

painting by Beverly Bader, rivertown's art tour artist
I spy blue. Nothing says summer more than that of the color azure blue or the entire range of mediterranean blues.
Azure blue takes me to the ocean.
What color takes you away?
Apparently I am not the only one who finds beauty in the blues. Read this.
Thank-you goes out to my sister Liz for sending me this article.

Purple will
soon take me
to lavender fields
in Washington State,
home of my parents,
and I cannot wait!
Love this painting,
which IS one of my
top color favorites!

Oh....I love the idea of various shades of blue. I think above all colors, it is the most calming. And, I can feel lately....that I want calming things.

And, I love this article, which I had not seen. Bill Cunningham's mosaic of fashion is one of my all time favorite things about the New York Timed.

Lovely post, Patricia. xoxo Elizabeth

Blue makes you take that deep breathe and encourages you to be pensive! Hope you are enjoying a blue cool summer (although with this heat...) :0)

Wonderful post - blue and green are my favorite colors! It must be my love for the many shades of the ocean, sea glass, and other blue/green items (My University of Kentucky Wildcats "Big Blue" fall into that category, too!)

Blue takes me to a happy place. I love the colors of the ocean. When I see blues and aquas, I can almost taste the salty air. Carla
