I ran errands early this morning and when I came back home, there on the counter was the "forgotten lunch" - of one said child. Lunch time had come and gone. So I did a little search to find this clever bag. I wonder how many lunches are forgotten? It seems a rite of passage.
How about this sweet reminder to remember. I found this idea, just take a marker and draw a hand on a canvas lunch bag. Love the red ribbon reminder. Sweet, non. Do you have any clever ideas for helping the forgotten?

That is so precious- I love it!
Fortunately, my sons' schools both have "emergency lunches" available in case I forget. I've only forgotten once, but I felt awful all day long!
I love the bag! I often put notes by the front door for things I need to remember; my husband uses a check list every time he leaves the house - even has different checklists for different destinations. I should start to give my kids more responsibility for their own things.
LOVE that bag...I think I need it...although fortunately our girls have lunch at home still...but perhaps for next yesr!

Just perfect - thank you for sharing with us !
Very cute bag- however, no lunches to pack. I do have a small blackboard near the door-for appointments,'dates', and other things to remember. And I'm a huge list person.....
This is such a smart idea...
I try to line up importent things for the children or us on the dining table, not to be overlooked the next morning!
But sometimes even this stays behind...
Not to rush is the trick...
This is so cute. So many forgotten lunches.
My grandmother was the secretary for the school I attended as a child. If I ever forgot my lunch or lunch money she was always there as a back up. It was so nice. My dad is famous for leaving yellow post it notes stuck all over the door frames or mirrors. Not quite the creative design style we are looking for, but he almost never forgets anything. On the other hand, I can ask my husband to do a favor for me and he almost never forgets yet never makes a note about it or puts out any reminder. Amazing.
Ohhhh, so many times have I left my lunch at home as an adult! Today in fact. Sigh. What a lovely lunch sack!

Oh man, the forgotten lunch was the worst in school! Left to mooch off of friends and scrape up a quarter for Ho-Ho's...XXOO
This bag is so adorable! If I want to make sure I don't forget something I tape a note to my purse as a reminder. xo
I love the bag. I grew up with a note, in my Mother's handwriting, taped to the inside of our front door that said, "LUNCH?". Which made me think, there has to be a cute way to have something on the inside of the door you go out daily that could have reminders for whatever? Because, I walk out daily without something: cell phone, mail to drop in post, clothes for laundry, important work stuff. Always a return trip to pick up the left behinds.
I call a crazy life the reason behind it all. Trying to slow down in 2010. So far, it's working beautifully.
Are you better?

We had our share of "forgotton's" but not too many lunches. Backpacks were by the door the night before and lunches that were packed the night before put by backpack's in the morning by mom during breakfast!
Sweet idea!
The lunches are always on the counter, you would have to have blinders on to miss them. I think we all have too much to do and are too rushed.
Off to bed, and up early....looks like we may be in for a snow day!
