So tell me, do you possess the art of collectibility? Is there one thing that you are adding to your collection. Somehow all the soups that I have been making to brave the cold are crying out for a collection of deep pottery bowls. There is something about an all white or cream collection that makes me smile.
Love to know what you are collecting these days?

Fabric, vintage fabrics! and too much of it AND no real place to store or display it nicely. Major reno needed here! But I cant stop collecting! Mind you I do make the odd thing or two with them as well.
What a Fabulous! wall of stuff :) Irene x
I collect vintage teasets, they are not as artfully displayed as these though x x
What a gorgeous collection of bowls! I seem to 'collect' jewelry-making supplies! Once in a while I make something with them, but most of the time I keep buying more and more!
Great image! I thought you were asking if we ourselves were a collectible? And I like thinking about that? Of the people I know would they want to collect me? Who would I like to collect as a friend? And if I had a magnificent cupboard that's a repository of all the wonderful things I learn from the people that I 'collect', what would it look like?
Whitney (signed in as my daughter!)
I would like to begin collecting pink depression glass.
I do too many to list, love the simplicity of this room. So pure and unpretentious, just built for usage in storing all the wares.
Nice photo,
Leslie
It would be fun to add shelves like this in the kitchen filled with wonderful cream and white ware. I just mentioned maybe doing this in our kitchen over the weekend to my love.
Oh dear I collect elegant and vintage angels for the Christmas tree, small individual pedestals for dessert, silver pieces. Actually anything fun and beautiful! My friend Catherine started me on a collection of vintage rosaries (I guess she thought I need help!). xo
I've an affinity for vintage Pyrex. Serving up a meal in those vintage dishes seems cozy to me.
Also...I have a bunch of angels. I may have bought one or two myself, but most of them have been given to me.
currently collecting only dust, I'm afraid...
I wish I had the space and the setup to really collect something properly. This looks wonderful.
I LOVE that wall. LOVE LOVE LOVE
Love the image. One day my kitchen will be "grab and go". Yes, it collects dust but what/who doesn't? Currently I am collecting rosle kitchen gadgets. Fell hard for the can opener. I had been looking for years for one (hand only) that is more sanitary. I balked at the price so I bought 3 cheapies along the way that I never liked. These tools feel in the hand the way chocolate melts in your mouth!
Half pairs of mittens.
Seems lately all I collect are beads from around the world. In all my trips I go to markets and shops to find those exotic beads and beaded items.
You have a lovely collection of bowls!!!
Oh- the photo you posted makes my heart sing! Collections like that have me wonder where did they find this or that? Do your things tell a story? Reflect who you are? I'd like to know the lady who has all those lovely things in her home! And then to be able to organize your collection of things in an artful way says you care about it all! Simply beautiful!
Ah, I love this, it is like a piece of art.
First..love that photo! I am so in need of some new dinnerware!! I collect caribbean art..each year we go on a trip to the S. Caribbean via cruisin'... I always bring back a painting..or two.. love to have memories of the sea air, sand and SUN!
I collect antique opera glasses, corksrews and keys. I wish I was a collector of these beauties you show here, but I have to keep my dish supply in check due to space limitations!
I collect soup cookbooks- and I have lots of different bowls for soup-so I guess I do have a couple of collections. My heart-shaped-rock collection is very dear too.
Love to join you for a bowl of soup. Lots of good food ideas on these blogs today!
I collect journals of all shapes and sizes wherever I go.
My second favourite thing to collect is unusual postcards. Have to say I am inspired by these bowls...maybe a pottery class to get the collection started?
Jeanne :)
Oh how I love this image... inspires me to be a collector. I'm a 'culler' from way back. Have mentioned you in my bloggy blog today Patricia! A-M xx
I'm not a collector. I've inherited some beautiful things, all that I love, but a collection of my own wouldn't have a home. I do have a series of beautiful bottles in my dining room bookcases that aren't expensive or special but I do love them.
I love your image. I would like to use it in my "Week of White" next week if that is OK. With credit to you of course. Let me know.

Chalk Heads. Beethoven, Caesar, Homer, Aristotle, and just acquired a gold Chopin that doesn't really fit in. Might have to get white washed...
I have some pieces of ceramics from a wonderful Aussie Brian Tunks of Bison (bisonhome.com). They are not only functional serving pieces but things of great beauty as well. I think he sells into Bloomingdales & Saks in the U.S. I'm trying to add a couple of new pieces to my teeny collection each year. Lovely post Patricia!
Millie ^_^
Now that I'm sewing I can't stop "collecting" old fabric and buttons. It's so fun to try and create something new from these often discarded relics. And my vintage Statue of Liberty collection has grown by two more ladies in the past month or so. :-)
And I just LOLd at Modernemama's comment.
If I had a kitchen with that much shelving I'd start collection things!
gorgeous.
I suddenly seem to be collecting books about Picasso!! ;)
I love all white pottery. We are redoing our kitchen and removing all our top cabinets to replace with shelves made from old barnwood which is plentiful here in my neck of the woods. I just love the simplicity of all white. As for what i collect....I love anything by Louis Icart, an artist i fell in love with when i was in my 20's. Thanks for sharing your collection!
vintage shell boxes..in the one to five dollar price range.
