monday motivation - deck the halls

There's no place like home for the holidays, especially a new home.
A new home and the holidays are very motivating.
A house to decorate, the tree to trim, the poinsettia's to plant, the gifts to wrap and the holiday cards to sign seal and deliver.
The image of this special home is all decked out for the holidays and ready to celebrate.

As an artist, creative license is motivating, I added the garland, the poinsettias and the scarlet ribbons.

The square pillars are all wrapped up to look like boxed gifts with red ribbons.

Do you find the holidays motivating?
Are your halls decked out and ready to celebrate?
Cheers to you and your home all decked out!
Thrilled with my client's wonderful testimonial;
"It's not often when your antique dealer, florist, accountant, grandmother and sister-in-law agree unanimously on something, well, they all have plus every other person we sent our custom drawn PVE Christmas cards to! They all loved, loved them! Through your artwork, you have captured our hopes, dreams, and especially the spirit of our home and of us. Thank you for introducing our new home with your gifted hands and mind."

Our garden Square has a huge Christmas tree covered in fairy lights and we all gather together to sing carols and drink mulled wine, to celebrate just before Christmas day. So although we don't decorate our individual home - we all have a sparkly tree as center piece.

Not yet but by this time next week, our homes will be filled with holiday cheer! Love the red ribbons on the pillars - like Cartier's store in NYC, all wrapped up for Christmas. Happy Monday, PVE!

Well you can't ask for more than that...capturing their hopes, dreams and spirit through your illustration of their home. it's just beautiful! We have company coming for the weekend so what is not done now, will be by Friday. Sometimes overnight guests or even a dinner party gets my motivation in full gear!

I love how you've decorated your client's home in the illustration! How joyful for them to send these out to friends and loved ones. We are fully decked here and helped my parents with their tree over the weekend. So now it's time for baking and shopping! Hope things are festive at your house! XOXO

Patricia,
That is the BEST holiday card!!! Who wouldn't be thrilled and proud to send that out to the world?!

We are finally decked....maybe not to the hilt, but it looks festive! The outside looks amazing, so if this rain will stop, I'll get some photos up!

Merry merry!!

I love this Charleston style house all decked out! Utterly charming and I feel like I've been here before- was it a commissioned piece or something from your incredible imagination?
