broken hearted

We are broken hearted for the innocent victims of todays news.
Our hearts go out to those in the Sandy Hook Elementary school district and community of Newtown, CT.
The news hit me hard and I have had an emotional day just thinking of the families who must say goodbye to their children and to the adults.
The tears of angels weep.
As a nation, we must join together and find peace and somehow surrender such random acts of violence.

I persuade each of you to hug a child, spend time telling those you love just how much they mean to you.
I will be back next week but for now I must admit, I am broken hearted.

Couldn't believe what I was hearing today. When I got back home around 1, my littlest started throwing a "tired" tantrum, but I just held her and thanked God I had her until she slept. Heartbroken is an understatement.

So said the ANGEL unto ALL...Peace on EARTH and Goodwill to ALL!

America Weeps...Angels weep...and now WE MUST MAKE OUR VOICES HEARD AND TELL WASHINGTON TO PASS LAWS ON GUN CONTROL, so these Souls didn't die in Vain for some politicians next NRA election cycle.

We have shed tears here this morning, on waking to the news. The pain for the families will be almost too much to bear. My heart aches for them. I will carry them in my thoughts in the days to come. Those sweet, sweet, innocent little angels. A-M xx

It is such a terrible, terrible thing, I can not even imagine what the families are going through. My heart goes out to them.

Patricia, When Even the Angels weep....it saddens me so much that these children and adults and families will not have a Christmas. We must do more to stop these tragedies.

Terribly sad. Christmas will never be the same for those poor families. While we're passing laws how about better mental health care?

So much uncontainable grief. WE must all come together to send a message to all our elected officials that easy access to any kind of gun will not be tolerated by our society. I pray that we be surrounded with love for each other and especially the families who lost their precious children and loved ones in Newton today. So many tears.

I am broken hearted over this targedy, too, P. I cannot imagine the agony of losing someone in such a tragedy. I am praying that God will comfort the hearts of all these people. Sending you hugs as well and wishing your family a wonderful Christmas together full of joy and peace! xo

These photos convey the sense of despair we are feeling.
I can't imagine going on with life after such a tragedy.
Maybe elevating violence to entertainment status isn't working out so well?
Maybe our complicity in supporting Hollywood's depraved and bloody "blockbusters" isn't working out so well?

(personally I do not, ever, view violent movies, never mind paying to see them)

This is an evil embedded deep in our culture and I think it encourages people who are on the edge, to act out.
