summer porch

Welcome to my summer porch.  Have a seat and a cool beverage.
In the evening, I light up a strand of sparkly lights.
These are my new pillows from the marvelous new shop, maisonette in Hastings-on-Hudson.
The solid backing is a gorgeous green.
The wonderful shop owner Maria made this lumbar pillow for me which I love.
Here is a sneak inside the shoppe, maisonette.
It just opened a few weeks ago and I am so delighted to have a store like this nearby.
My daughter fell in love with these comfy paisley chairs.  We have our eye on a few other items to add to our own maison.

Patricia, I'd love to spend a summer evening on your porch catching up over a glass of wine. Looks like the perfect little spot to escape. XO

Your new cushions are wonderful, and your porch seems to be the perfect escape on a summer evening while also keeping mosquitoes at bay.

I hope you have been taking advantage of it now that the weather has cooled down a bit!

What a great porch! That really makes me miss the screened-in porch at our old house. So nice not to have to worry about the bugs or the rain!

What a great shop. This type of shop is one of many gems that makes life on the East Coast so rich ARe you serving tea or lemonade on the porch? Maybe sangria? I'll be right over. Have a wonderful Friday. Mary

Love the combination between grey and yellow. And the patterns are amazing.
Would you combine this rug with that elements? http://www.brabbu.com/rugs/sandstorm.html

Thanks for all your porch "envy" - if you come and take a closer look, you will see we need to re-screen....as there are a few holes from uninvited guests of the four legged variety!

I love it Patricia! What a great space...and I know how amazing it fits in the site of your beautiful home and property! Glad you have your family together to enjoy the rest of your summer. I need to email you, because I don't think I was listening when you talked about roasting beets...mine were charred on the outside and raw on the inside...lol...live and learn.
Best and hugs, M
