kreativ with a k

Thanks for this "Kreativ Blogger" award! Awards and Words spelled with the wrong letters make me very un(k)omfortabl(e). So, please excuse me while I squirm, I blush and I post seven bits about me as well as pass this Kreativ award on to seven deserving Kreativ Bloggers;

Mr.Peacock
Bryn Alexandra
My Little Green Notebook
Reflected Light
Art House Design
Reverie
Eddie Ross
(All of these Kreativ bloggers are in linked in my blog list and each of you on my list deserves a shout!)

Seven things about me;

1. One of Seven Children, the 5th.

2. Love the color "green" and I was Born on the 17th of March, St.Patrick's Day so I have had many green cakes.

3. I have never met a medium of Art or Arts and Crafts that I did not like.

4. I would love to drive a convertible and look like her. (Princess Grace in "To catch a Thief")

5. I sold my pictures door to door when I was little for a penny or two.

6. I flew on the "Concord" and it was a "royal" moment, a once in a lifetime thing. (plus I was pregnant with twins!)

7. My Mom used to come to New York, and we saw Lena Horne perform.
"The Lady and her Music."
For some reason, I cannot write below this fabulous artwork of Lena, but thanks to each of you for reading my blog and for awarding this award to me! Thanks!

Congratulations! What a well deserved award.

Were you actually on the Concord with the Queen?

That photo of the tuppence resting atop the American pennies makes me smile. Just this morning I was really looking at a tuppence dated 1981. Wondering what Her Majesty thinks about having her profile embossed on so many billion bits of metal -- if she thinks of it at all. And then I flipped it over & saw the words "New Pence" embossed on the back when I would have expected "Two Pence." Could it be counterfeit?

Congratulations again for being the "real thing."

Well deserved. I do love reading these lists- and getting to know blog-friends a little better. You had me with that grid of green.

Starr -
No the Queen was not on my flight, however, I felt very royal to fly on such a flight. I do remember several very successful passengers and the flight attendants were all elegant and poised.

Starr - "New Pence" after the introduction of decimalisation in UK in 1971, to distinguish them from the old (pounds shillings and) pence. Later issues do not have "new".

pve - I didn't realise Kreativ didn't have an "e" on the end. Will amend my entries.

Congrats on the award! My boss in New York used to be flown on the concord by clients to shop for antiques in London---can you even imagine flying your decorator on the concord?! What a life! So fun to hear more about yours...

I agree that the image that will stay in my mind is the door to door art selling. Garrison Keillor did a piece about his young daughter selling art instead of lemonaid and how wonderful it was to see her so confident that the exchange of money for her art was a fair one! Glad you got some blooger love. You deserve it. My word verification today is beautt! And so you are.

I'll always cherish your admission of selling your drawings door-to-door! The best! Although, the flying on the Concord isn't bad either!
