purple flowers

Lately, I find myself admiring so many purple flowers.
Inspiration comes in many forms, just in time for this new blog header here.
When I begin a project, the client sends me snippets to work from, be it a house sketch, a pet portrait, a party, a wedding, or something that they feel will emulate and represent their blog.
Along the way, while I am working, my eyes seem to be drawn to so many purple flowers.
Why did I not see them before?
I love the way my work gives me time to appreciate beauty and to give others a bit of it in the form of my artwork.  Today, I will give thanks for purple flowers!

Gorgeous! Purple is one of those colors i absolutely don't want to have in my house but around my house in the garden I LOVE it, combined with Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle' the purple flowers really pop out.

Debra,
Thank-you. I did another one, but this one really suited her to a T.

Never underestimate the power of purple...inside and out in the garden! I love purple linings. Paul Smith has a great suit with purple lining that I spotted...
Happy week ahead!

The Color Purple. Lovely. I've admired those flowers in your first picture for quite some time. I asked a friend what they were called, and she told me that they're Bare Naked Ladies.

Beautiful header!

I was laughing as I read your post, since I have been following Purple Flowers I find myself buying more and more lilac-y lovelies to fill my garden beds. They are such a nice compliment to all my white flowers and silver and gray foliage.

Your illustration is wonderful! Perfect!

Lovely little picture. I think my favorite "purple" flower is actually lavender. Lilacs smell like heaven.
