tail gate season
In anticipation of Fall and certain events that beckon for a party, a tail gate party provides an easy way to gather with friends! Nothing is more fun than attending an event with a prerequisite tail gate. Loading up and flinging open the back, to baskets of freshly prepared savory items to share with a cup of something like apple cider for a taste of fall! Mingling with with 2 legged and 4 legged friends is a perfect way to get out and enjoy nature. Do I leave you inspired to tail gate (even if it is pre-game in a parking lot) and what will you bring?

thank you for your visit from marrakesh - need to infuse some of your world into an illustration, you must certainly live in a colorful part of the planet!

mmm... I would bring ginger cookies.
Very appropriate timing. We tailgated the UCONN game Saturday, but alas, did not look like this fantastic image. Oh well, something to strive for! Thanks for the inspiration!

tail gates are all about being with one another and conjuring up lively banter pre-game or event.

my favorite part of any sporting event! You've captured it brilliantly with your illustration!
and ginger snaps are my FAVORITE cookie :-)
This makes me so long for Fall and the leaves changing. The color is amazing. I don't know what I'd bring. Good food for sure but good friends are a must.
What a great image! I've been to one tailgating event, and I have to say, yours is infinitely more elegant and refined!
This looks like a Town and Country autumn! Love the lady in the hat with the scarf...and those pumpkin colored trousers! Are they all there for a steeplechase?
I think I'd bring pumpkin pie and sugar cookies.

This was a new concept for me when I moved to the States. I like your genteel picnic suggestions . . .
That is beautiful! Makes me want some warm apple cider and a cozy blanket!

I love this one! I would bring some carmel apples.
Nothing is more fun than to tailgate!....I don't do it often but at least once each football season. We just try to keep the food very simple but delish too!
I think hot wings are a must and chocolate chip toll house cookies!
Lovely blog today!
it's so much fun to eat and visit!
I wish I can go to a tail gate party like this. I used to go them at Giant Stadium. None of the people looked this interesting. I love the colors!!!!
I wish all tailgate parties were this refined!
I love the fall colors on your blog!

Tailgating before a tennis match is what we do here--love hearing the girls getting together and chatting as we parents are allowed (only) oon the periphery
for all those that commented on tail gating-
thanks so much - your comments mean the world to me, like having a fan club. When I was little, I would draw pictures and sell them door to door....for a penny! blogging is just like the ole adage, "penny for your thoughts!"
thanks!
