friday fizz

I could not help but fall in love with this painting.
It has a certain fuzziness to it that reminds me of one of my favorite Summer drinks, a Rosemary Gin Fizz.
What is your favorite summertime fizz?

Rosemary Gin Fizz Ingredients 3 one-inch sprigs of fresh rosemary 1 small lemon, juiced 1/2 teaspoon honey 1 1/2 ounces gin 3 ounces club soda Instructions In a small drinking glass, muddle the fresh rosemary, lemon juice and honey. Fill the glass with ice, then pour in the gin and top with club soda.

cheers to an effervescent weekend!

I find the painting very intriguing and like it very much! As for the drink,,,,I can't wait to try this rosemary and lemon is a fave combo of mine but I've never had in a beverage before. I recently came across the most beautiful turned wooden muddles that come in a linen pouch. I stocked up on a few for gifts, this would be a wonderful recipe to include with a sprig of rosemary attached. Thanks for sharing this, cheers! ~ C

Gin is my favorite in any cocktail or alone! I'm partial to Hendrick's Gin.

That drink sounds awesome! I love adding herbs into cocktails.

I add a few springs of rosemary in a hot simple syrup to infuse it and then add it to grapefruit juice and vodka. A little lime zest on top and it's brunch!

rosemary gin fizz sounds delicious, my hot summers evening tipple of choice is a Pimms. The painting looks like a perfect time for Pimms too, if only our summer would kick start, its cold, wet and very windy here.

I think the first mixed alcoholic beverage I ever tried, many moons ago, was a Sloe Gin Fizz. As I recall, it was a pretty pale pink color and oh so tasty. Would the bartenders today know how to put that one together? Otherwise, gin and tonic with a slice of lime is great--preferably Tanqueray gin.
