Tenth Photo (just in time for Derby Day)

Debra kindly e-mailed me and asked if I would mind posting my "Tenth" photo from way back when I began my blog. To my surprise, I had posted Bonnie Cashin - she was a fashion designer known for her marvelously practical designs for Coach and then her own line.

Well Bonnie has just the sort of hat that would be perfectly chic for "The Kentucky Derby." I would wear it with a simple linen dress, minimal lines and some sort of chic open toe wedge and a straw bag would be just my kind of ensemble. Derby Day is Saturday, so tell me what would sort of hat would you wear. Play along, I know you want to! Let your inner Southern Belle all out!

Good morning, Patricia! I had just read about the "Tenth Photo" for the first time right before I clicked on your post. Lovely photo. I wish we wore more hats... British women always look so grand at weddings, etc. - and the Church ladies with their matching ensembles; love it!

please feel free to post your tenth photo!
I love hats and contemplated one on my wedding day, but wore gardenias and a veil.

Hats off to you, off to see your snappy give-away!

You would look like such a mad hatter with your perfect hat. Enjoy your day at work, wearing the many hats you sport!

feel free to show us your tenth photo - Guess I am shy at asking others to tag - but I know it does feel good when others ask you to join the fun and put yourself out there, tag and all. I think of Minnie Pearl and the tag on her hat....

What a cool and classy photo. I never heard of tenth photo? Are we supposed to play along and post our tenth photo or would you like to see a hat? You know I'm happy to do either. I love a good hat!
Mine would be simple but sweeping and black I think.

Thank you for playing along! Great hat! I would wear something over-the-top in pink. I adore hats and have several-somehow, I always rip them off just shy of my arrival...

I am one of those people who could try on 100 hats, and maybe two suit me.
I adore seemingly transparent and overly wide brimed hats, I'd love one in pink or gray for the derby.

that photo of Bonnie is fab! We are going to the local horse racing track here in Ohio is called Thistledown..we place a few wagers and then head to our favorite place to eat, have a mint julip and watch the Ketucky Derby...I have always loved looking at all the wonderful fashions and hats that the ladies wear...if I were there.. I would wear a simple linen pant suit...breezy wide leg pants, Bannano sandals, a trim linen shell and a natural wide brimmed straw or natural fibe hat with a punctuation of a pink peony!

Got my first Derby hat last year - straw with white ribbons all around. It's too bad hats went a bit out of vogue - as they can be so flattering! I'll be wearing mine this Saturday! Go Lookin at Lucky!!
