omiai

choko (small saki cup) and tokkuri (saki vessel)
all from SOHO east
Omiai is a Japanese custom where unattached individuals meet in order to arrange a possible marriage.  I ponder this custom and wonder what might have happened if I were to be matched or arranged to lead to marriage.

In a nearby village there lives a perfect match for me in a shop, SOHO east.

A spot full of lovely things for the home, for the self or for the giving.  So today, these lovely goodies are part of a giveaway, thanks to SOHO East.  Simply leave a comment and tell me what you would look for in a mate.  What would be 3 qualities to win you over.

chopsticks for sushi, a set of five from SOHO east
Order some sushi, pour some saki and enjoy your fab friday with your dream match made in heaven or share it with the one your with.

What a fab give-away! I would have to say-I would look for: a sincere smile, a kind, generous, and non-judgmental nature, and a good sense of humor. That's my husband!

I really love this Quote:

“Every time God creates a soul in heaven, he creates another to be its special mate. And that once we're born we begin to search for our soul mate, the one person who's the perfect fit for our mi”

I married my first love and still very happy so for me it's someone big and strong that makes me laugh and is loving and caring.

I would have to agree with Debra - someone who has a kind, generous, and gentle nature, gives great strong hugs, and has a fun sense of humor! Wonderful things to think about.

3 qualities? Kindness, humor and a loving spirit. Those are my picks.

I'll tell you my three favorite qualities in my mate...which I think is pretty much the same as what I would look for if I was looking: courage, compassion and vulnerability.
