the holidays rock

"Rock Center" - located in New York City is the best spot to visit, to skate, to see the tree and to feel the magic of the holidays.  Do you have a spot where you live that rocks during the holidays?

I don't know if this is for a client or you, but it's wonderful. You captured the spirit.

Court,
Oh, I do need to do some things just because I love them, this was done last year for a client for a redeemable gif certificate, a last minute under the wire gift!

I remember this view many years ago when I was in NY during the season. You capture the feeling more then I have seen a photo taken!

We try to take the train to the city (Chicago) most years to view the store windows. But my favorite of favorite places is sitting with Gary near the fire and tree having him play his guitar.

Oops I hit the sent button too fast. Yes Kwana has a great idea! Remember my friends that own my favorite store are possibly interested in carry your cards.

hugs...xoxo

how pretty, it would make a great holiday card! I've never visited YET, but the national sculpture garden on the national mall has ice skating here in DC with live bands. I've always wanted to go!

Joyce,
Part of my new years resolution is in fact to get some line of products going! You are a dear to think of me!
Happy December.

I LOVE that watercolor! It's actually better than the real thing. You should definitely put a line of cards together and then next year I can order them from you!

Strolling Monument Avenue and looking at all the wonderful holiday confections of lights, greenery and blown glass.

That said, my favourite tree of thousands (5,000 + they once told me) of cascading orange lights won't light up my walk this year. The owners have put the house up for sale. Standing under the canopy of light, completely enveloped in the orange glow was magical. I'll miss that.

Just beautiful. Rock Center is one of my favroite places. I also work right there, I love walking threw the plaza early in the morning when it's empty. Have a wonderful weekend :)

I was at the "rock" this time last year. NYC is beautiful this time of year! However, my favorite place for the holidays is somewhere snowy!

Nothing in our area rocks like Rock. I just love this illustration, Patricia. It's my favorite so far.

And I agree with Kwana, it'd be great to send the illustration to NBC.

It is lovely. There is a new gorgeous development near where I live called Park Place. There is a skating rink outside. I took my little grandaughter last week, and we had so much fun!

Very pretty and whimsical! Last Christmas I photographed my girls watching Santa skate on the Rock Center rink. Then we went to that adorable little French shop on one side and bought children's books en francais before heading to Dean and Deluca where a giant Elmo was eating a sandwich without his (Elmo) head. A New York moment indeed . . .

Oh, that's just gorgeous. You should do Christmas cards. Oh, I see I am not alone in that opinion. Etsy shop. Or just order through your blog.

Not really, nothing like this at least! I have always wanted to visit NYC during the holiday season. We did go to Macys Santa Land the other and it was quite wonderful!

I worked near RC right out of school & always joked I was in thousands of people's home videos!
