tray bien

Being a practical type, trays serve me well.   Not only are they great for serving tea or lemonade, they also are good for collections. Decorative trays become works of art answering to a decorative side. The above tray was painted for a client to give to a Bride & Groom to serve as a memory of where their wedding took place, on the grounds of an exquisite formal garden of great music -Caramoor.

I can testify that a tray is a lovely gift being the proud owner of one of Patricia's trays. I always get compliments on it and it still makes me smile years later.

That's a wonderful idea. I'm going to a wedding for my cousin down near Kentucky this Memorial Weekend (Metropolis, IL), and I'm still looking for a nice wedding present for them. The hunt is on!

I got one as a house warming gift and the paint turned out to be paper and got ruined. Wish I knew you then. LOVE this tray!!!

Kwana,
The road to a friend's house is never far!
It brings me joy to know how fond you are of it.

Eileen,
One of these wishing wednesdays - there may be a tray in your wish list? I need to remember that for you.

Tray chic!
We must be related because just this afternoon I carried cups of espresso on a lovely handpainted Italian tray I have to hubby and friend who are building a stone terrace. They loved it!

what a great gift idea. I never would have thought of that. And, of course, you executed it beautifully! Thanks or sharing it! I know they'll treasure it always.

Stunning, but I don't think I could ever set anything on it.

mrs. french,
tray is finished with a protective finish so it is safe to put things on or I can finish with bowling alley wax.
love that smell.
