two by two
Delivering this Alphabet Letter for a little boy today. Since his name begins with N and happens to be Noah, I decided to choose the theme of two-by-two and pair animals to fill in the letter. I will show you a larger version later but I am thinking of working on a series of letters to sell. A for Ashley would be sweet filled with flowers and so on. Next year I really want to create a book for children. Yes, I have been saying this for long enough and now is time for action.

trick-or-treat
It's just about that time, when the trick-or-treaters will be out ringing our doors and gathering candy.
Take one, which I seriously wonder if anyone ever takes just one. I mean we are humans, right?

Hello Rosie
Things are still very green around here, however, I do feel that a change is upon us and leaves and ruddy colors will be coming our way. I happened to fall in love with this sweet gal named Rosie, who belongs to this lovely lady. Inspired to capture her optimism in a water color, I was rather pleased with the end results. Getting away from the black line and letting graphite lead my way and then building the watercolor seemed freeing. The entire time I worked, I felt Rosie's eyes gazing upon me and her sweet tongue licking my legs.
I just had to share this here on my old blog and in hopes that those of you who think I might have vanished have indeed not. I have a new blog on wordpress which is making me feel rather inadequate.
Loading things up seems to always be a challenge for me. I would be grateful for a bit of support if anyone has mastered word press. You can certainly leave a comment here or there or anywhere.

new koi-joy notes in my shop
Everyone loved this work of art that I created the day of the RiverArts studio tour. Due to the popularity I decided to add these 5x7 notes to my etsy pve shop. Notes are packaged individually and come in a set of eight. This lovely koi pond was created by blogger Monkey Grass Hill. She's jumping the pond and moving to England.

love coupons
Today, everyone is all about giving from the heart.
I always create redeemable coupons for things that I know will be loved and that are priceless. What sort of redeemable love coupons would you like to receive today? I am thinking of creating a seasonal book of love coupons and adding them to my shop. Give me some love, what sort of coupons would you buy to give a little love. The book is tied with a ribbon, simply clip and redeem the love anytime.pve design love coupons

brought you some red
clever wine tags spotted on etsy
perfect touch for bringing some red
spotting lots of red storefronts too.
love this one I illustrated a few years ago
red book covers too.
some red in one of my favorite Tina Steele paintings.
What sort of red are you planning on bringing or giving this Valentine's day?
My husband asked me, "So when is Valentine's day?"
If you are reading this, it is in fact tomorrow!
Are you ready?

in the abstract
There is something so refreshing about taking time to enjoy life in the abstract. This is a commission that I captured at a wedding and the more I admire the couple stealing away a moment in the left hand corner, I also love that larger than life abstract work of art and the huge drum light above. If you could own any work of abstract art, which famous artist would you look to? Often I dream of one day creating large loose colorful abstracts when my new studio is finally ready. I cannot wait to paint in the abstract. Would you buy an abstract work of art?
