think happy

While I can't seem to shake the sadness I feel for Boston, my mind is doing it's darned best to think happy thoughts for the future.
Will we be subjected to daily random acts of hatred causing unhappiness?
How can we simply show our happy spirit and move forward?

I want so much to celebrate and find the happy place.  Check out these gorgeous gals, they offer lovely services for soiree planning and e-design.  The mix of plates, the fresh colors and just an overall feel good setting surely sets the tone for a punchy party.
 Arrangement spotted over here.

I thought these flowers would be the perfect happy arrangement.
Now to figure out what to wear, maybe something gingham, or pucci?  Are you trying to think happy thoughts as much as I am?

Who's with me?

happy face

A mother's intuition is everything.  I had a feeling last night when I tucked my daughter into bed that she might be coming down with something and this morning, she woke me up letting me know she was not happy and not feeling well.  So, today, will be all about making happy faces as I will be keeping her home from school and helping her to feel better.  Life would be so much simpler if I could go about adding smiles with a crayon or paint brush to make everyone
happy.

happy focus

I do not have a tattoo, but I rather like this temporary one.
After all it would serve as a reminder of what to focus on: happy.
September has always symbolized the start of a new year for me. The tape in my mind plays like this, work out more, eat better, meet deadlines and the constant strive for perfection does cause me to realize that the focus needs to circle around - happy.  Smile more. Laugh more and just be happy.

My heart aches for those that have been affected by the flooding or by the memories of September 11th.
Today we will attend the funeral of a remarkable woman of "104" years of living with a happy focus.
Will you promise me to focus on the happy this weekend?
Radiate joy! Promise.

makes me happy

Cards make me happy.
I have a stack of them that I have saved over the years.
Cards and the givers are forever in our hearts.
The messages are personal and uplifting.
A card can change the way one might chart their dreams or beliefs.
These are vintage Flavia cards and they make me happy.
This time of year I love giving cards to brides, graduates, to teachers and those who are celebrating another revolution around the sun.
Some people deserve special cards, right!
It makes me happy.
