another autumn

Sunday was a spectacular day.  One could feel that another Autumn was on the way.  There was a certain change to the air, the sky, the clouds, all of which will soon in turn begin to change the color of the leaves to brilliant hues of gold, orange and red.

I love that there is change ahead as it always seems to invigorate me.  I want to clean out my closet and to organize my pantry and add spices to dishes.  Last night I prepared a roast chicken with squash and my dear husband commented that he was so happy to have a dish that seems to embrace a new season.
He said, "Another Autumn" to which I replied, I know isn't it wonderful.  I can  hardly wait for all that goes with.

Are you feeling inspired by another Autumn?

I adore Autumn, but there is a dread always nagging because I so hate the Winter months and threaten to leave house and home taking dogs away to the South!

Autumn is definitely in the air in New England. I love the way the light plays in the woods on a fall day it isn't as intense as summer.

Enjoy your day!

Ahhh...I have finally caught this "fall bug" too! I roasted a chicken last night as well and am making chicken soup tonight! I know your boys are already off to college, but you might enjoy my blog post today about visiting college towns. Take care!

I'm looking forward to autumn, but so reveling in these last beautiful days of summer. I'll say goodbye to warm carefree days by opening up the last bottle of rosé, and feasting a salad of ripe peaches and tomatoes. It's a magical time of year as one season transitions into another!
Gorgeous painting! XOXO

I keep looking at the trees in our gardens and they are still green as could be. Come on fall already :)

Fall is my fav season. I like the feeling of nesting and the light chill in the air. It is early for the changing of leaves in the Smoky Mountains, but taking a visit this month and hopefully next month to see the burst of color. xo

I love autumn. As with every other season, it is wonderful to feel the first changes in the air and like you, I want to change with it!
The light is golden and the sounds of the crickets gets smaller now....

Autumn is my favorite season -- I love everything about it! I also think October blue skies are the most beautiful shade of blue! I will be trying some new soup recipes that have caught my eye recently which use lots of spices for flavor... should be good!
