fondue love

Do you love fondue as much as I do? There is something so fun about sharing a pot of melted cheese and dipping a sundry of cut bread or vegetables inside. I think for Valentine's day, I just may have a pot of chocolate fondue to melt a few hearts!

Happy friday and weekend. Hope it is a great one.

I think chocolate fondue for dessert is a FABULOUS idea - have to see if I can find my fondue pot!!

Ha! That pot reminds me of the one we had growing up - bright orange. Fondue is such a fun way to eat and Valentine's Day would be the perfect day for it. Happy weekend!

This will be the best way to celebrate the love around your table.
I absolutely LOVE fondue! It is romantic and fun to have fondue for 2 or a table of friends. I still have the one I received 20 years ago as a bridal shower gift. It is from Crate, with a lazy susan and 6/8 little porcelain bowls to hold the food. We were just talking about having fondue or going to our friend's restaurant on Monday. BIG hugs... xo

You know I have tried lots of different cuisines, but as yet have never really tried fondue. So you have inspired me to try it soon. :-)

Whenever I think of fondue, I think of Chicago where Hubby and I went to the best fondue restaurant. Such fun! Enjoy your weekend!

Such fun fondue memories from the days when my husband was a youth pastor. (1977 and following.)We invited the students to our home, one class at a time (freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior) and prepare huge fondue desserts for them. (with sheets on the floor to protect my carpet.) They always felt loved.

Fondly,
Glenda

I prefer chocolate - dark chocolate - fondue over cheese ... but yes, it is fun.

Love your illustration, as always!

I do! I love cheese fondue more than anything. That's what I eat on my birthday, every year. :D

Chocolate fondue is one of my favorites to make for dessert when entertaining...love it with fresh strawberries, bananas, angel food cake, pretzel rods and pineapple! It's the cheese fondues I need some work on, do you have a good recipe to share?

I love fondue but hadn't had it in many years until last November when Michelle and I shared fondue with you in NYC at SWIZZ, such a memorable night of great food and great company!! I'm inspired to start fonduing again, forgot how delicious it is : )

We have a local fondue restaurant that's fun to go too...but having a cozy at home experience would be even better!
Top Chef just had their first fondue challenge...it was fun to see the creative ways the chefs explored the theme...I think I need to melt some cheese now.

One of the best times I've had was at a fondue party. Did you know there's a rule that if you (accidentally?) drop your food into the pot, you have to kiss the person on your left?

LOVE fondue! Recently hosted a spontaneaous snow-day winter lunch using a LaCruset pot and prepared fondue packets from Switzerland easily found at WholeFoods. The taste was so authentic it transported us immediately to the alps!
