drawing board

Back to the drawing board. Head down. Nose to the grindstone.

There is nothing like the journey of creating and being inspired by other great artists.
Fresh water at my side for drinking and another container for cleaning my brush.
Fresh clean water is essential.
Everything is alright in the world when I am at my drawing board.
I close my eyes and I give thanks for this gift.
The light of the day warms my soul.

Do you draw? Why not take a little time each day to draw something when you find yourself bored? Care to share your work with me?
I never imagined that part of my mission would actually inspire anyone to create or design an artful life, but it is working.

I love knowing that I have helped to inspire....others to the drawing board.

Oh to have just a little time each day at the drawing board! Reading your post this morning HAS inspired me to do just that! I have been following your blog for some time now and just wanted to let you know that your blog has been an inspiration to me in more ways than I can express :)

Lovely thought - I can see you happily working away - inspired by Chardin and Hockney!

I did not get the drawing gene in my family but I do like to express myself creatively in other areas - specifically writing. I completely understand the security one feels when they are creating and doing what they love. I only wish I had your talent!!

Funny you should ask.

I took three books out of the library last week about teaching yourself to draw!

Thank you again Patricia for highlighting Lulalina and for such great support. I can't tell you how much everyone's comments meant to me and how fun it was to visit their own blogs. There is SUCH talent out there in the world! Let me know who to send the box of note cards to and I will get them off this week. Have a wonderfully creative week in all that you do!

Drawing and teaching drawing (especially that), are my very special escapes. I completely forget all and become one with the moment, as if in a very fun and beautiful dream...sometimes though, when I "wake up", I'm a bit bummed that it's back to reality time.

Congrats to the lucky winners...and thank you Patricia, for 'always' inspiring, on so many levels!

I do not draw, but I also love and pursue a creative purposeful life. And it is usually in very simple things ~ the way I make my bed, write a letter, invite someone to tea, hang a curtain etc. But the creativity behind it is similiar.

Enjoy your drawing board today.

Fondly,
Glenda
