Sunday morning, I grab a mug from my shelf and pour a cup of steaming freshly brewed coffee.
The other mugs stare back at me, feeling the loss of their friend on the sunday shelf. Enjoy your sunday morning mug of coffee or tea. Do you drink out of a mug or a cup?

ReplyDeleteThose mugs are divine. Unfortunately I lack the space in my tiny kitchen for mugs so I stick to small cups and just refill my coffee several times throughout the morning.
Since I'm the only coffee drinker in the family, my Nespresso cube makes the perfect single cup. Love your blue and white mugs... where are they from?

ReplyDeleteDefinitely a mug - and not just ANY old mug will do! I go for something with a "lip" on it - not straight up and down sides. Blue and white mugs are my preference - or any chintz pattern. Well, not just "any". I am very particular :)

Beautiful mugs PVE - I am a "mugger", the bigger the better. I will have to be sure to rotate their use so nobody get's their nose bent; or would that be their handles? Blessed Sunday to you ~
ReplyDeleteLovely to catch up on all your wonderful posts Patricia, after being taken away by work commitments the past couple of weeks. Anniversaries, back to school dates, art classes, work engagements - phew, now I need a coffee hit to recover. I have a collection of Royal Albert china mugs that are mine & mine alone. They DO NOT (are you listening boys!) go in the dishwasher, but are lovingly washed by hand after each use. I try not to play favourites, so try & rotate them so there's no jealousy amongst the group!

I use my mugs for coffee, tea, cider, and hot chocolate.
I have actually wanted to do a post on my drinking vessel, but haven't got an appropriate photo. Here goes: my coffee cup is from the Hotel Britannica in Trondheim, Norway. It's small, probably called a demi-tasse, tall and slim, and white with a blue B monogram. And it's porcelain; porcelain is a must for me!! I've used it since summer 2001.

ReplyDeleteThat said, I was eyeballing my grandma's teacups this weekend and thinking how cool it would be to just sit on the porch drinking a hot bevie from a dainty little cup. So that just may on the agenda this weekend! (Especially since I also bought mulling spices and am dying to take them on a test run in hot cider. Yum!)
I would love to say I use a delicate little tea cup (especially because I have several lovely ones!) but they just require too many refills for everyday use. I use a giant mug instead, which is much easier.
