One of the most wonderful things about friendships is seeing what's next. A career in fashion was the perfect place to meld a love of art and design as well as inspiration to always look ahead for a fashionable life. After all, friends and family prove to be an incredible source of strength and constancy in a world that is always looking for the next new collection.

Last week, I had the great pleasure of being in wonderful company of my dear friend Elizabeth.
We met whilst working in Fashion and our career paths crossed twice, now, make that three times. After our life in fashion, we both chose to raise our families while never straying far from our love of design and the creativity that we honored in each other. We have provided each other with enthusiasm and encouragement and validity. I always admire Elizabeth's dedication to her work as well as her family. Our desire to be there for our families, yet long for a creative outlet as well as rewards has been a common thread of our friendship.

She is the photographer who snapped the amazing shot of me in the upper right hand corner, (that so many of you comment on, time and again.)     What beautiful ladies you both are - gorgeous open smiles that makes one want to smile in return! And how exciting that you're displaying your work together!!!

    By the way, the dates for the Affordable Art Fair in NY will be May 6- 9 2010. Have you ever considering displaying your artwork there yourself? I think the application is on the website for the fair!

    What talented ladies you are! I love your illustration few posts back--of your Sunday mug! Preferably, I am a cup and saucer gal on weekends, mugs during the week. Your friend should certainly start her own blog, there are those of us out here in Blogland that so admire such creativity!

    I made a trip in August to Ina Garten's Kitchen in Rockerfeller Center and posted about it otday...did you get to see it? What fun that was!

    I do love a good cup of tea in a cup and saucer...which I hope we meet and enjoy that pleasure. The little things and then the big things like seeing Ina's Kitchen make life much more fun!

    yes, and I could see you becoming a regular.
    You would love her classically composed home, full of art, and finds along the way....and her exclaiming, oh, that, I found it in the garbage....and that in a thrift store! E has a great eye!

    You girls look beautiful! It is amazing how friendships grow by simple nod, smile, hello... Friendship is like finding a hidden treasure under a rock.

    I have been bless with wonderful friends. My friends from The Backdrop are so dear to me. It all started by stopping into their store as a customer and now part of their family life. I know them almost as long as I know Gary. They always encourage and support me in all my crazy ideas. They accept my bad hair days and all!

    Just beautiful, ladies! And I love that your paths have crossed over and over.

    I have a friend named Leah whom I call "The Agent" -- because she does a better job at talking me up than I do! I have her to thank for various freelance projects. Also, I am incredible lucky to live with a man who constantly says wonderful things about me and gives me inspiring pep talks. Even if he is slightly jaded. ;-)
