pve design illustration for Sandra Morgan Interiors
What a beauty this bathroom is, designed by Sandra Morgan Interiors, a slipper chair, a fire and a tub for a nice relaxing soak. I think at the end of the day, there is nothing more relaxing than soaking in a tub with a good read. I myself love baths, but I must admit, that I need a shower to really wake up properly in the early morning.
So - tell me, do you prefer showers or baths?
I prefer a Shower and when i had a long and a boring day, i prefer a long bath!
ReplyDeleteSHOWER! Tubs are NOT comfy for my 6' frame, and get Cold too quick!!
ReplyDeleteI love this illustration. A fire while bathing would be divine. I shower - but love a relaxing soak-mostly in the winter with a magazine or book.
ReplyDeleteMostly I shower but I'm weird and like to lay in the tub and just let the water from the shower hit me. It's relaxing to me and I love it. Nothing beats a nice soak in the tubbie with a good book though :)
ReplyDeleteAh, what a room--why come out? LOve a bath but most days of rushing require a shower-Tara
ReplyDeletePS--come on my Ina Garten Rockerfeller Center visit if you get a chance to hop on over to my blog! :0)
This is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI always like the idea of baths, but in the end, I just feel like I'm sitting in soup. I do better with showers.
Lovely! I need a shower in the morning to wake up & a bubble bath in the evening if I've had a long, challenging day!
ReplyDeleteI prefer baths after a long weary winter day and a shower after a hot sticky summer afternoon. I love to be clean either way.
ReplyDeleteOn a daily basis, it the shower that gets me going. However on a cold winters night, that's a different story. I fill the tub to the brim, add my salts, and relax with a book and glass of wine ~ heaven. Our home in Michigan had a claw foot tub ~ oh how I miss that!

Shower every morning, but oh, I LOVE those occasional bubble baths!
ReplyDeleteI want to love a bath. They sound so luxurious. But my fave is a long, hot, steamy shower. I think I need the water always in motion. It always helps me to sort out my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI've never been a bath person -but if i had such a cozy spot I think I could be convinced!
ReplyDeleteSandra Morgan has such a feel for interiors and your illustration shows it so well. The Bow pillow on the slipper chair did for me. Hope to get into her show room to see your work
ReplyDeleteAll my life I have loved baths. But as I turn 60 next month, I am turning a new leaf. I am taking out the only bath in our home and putting in a shower. My practical side won over. My consolation prize is that it's going to be a walk in. No door to clean! I think it will feel like I am at camp or a car in a carwash. Lovely illustration. I think you are on a roll these day. So well deserved.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bath and a book girl all the way. I geed a good soak to sleep at night.
ReplyDeleteI am like you...shower in the morning, bath for relaxing in the evening. Can you believe how great you sleep when you've had a hot bath before bed?! I would loooove to have a luxurious bathroom like this one in the illustration :)
ReplyDeleteI love this image. So pretty and peaceful.
ReplyDeleteat the end of the day it has to be a long, relaxing, hot bath with a great book. heaven.
ReplyDeletebaths!! i rise early just so i may have my bath with my oils, candles, and music. must have the same ritual before i retire to bed too. love your beautiful illustration.
ReplyDeleteI would say that I like baths more, but the number of them I have taken in the past two years can be counted on one finger.
ReplyDeleteAlso, thank you for your adorable card! I was so excited when I turned to the back :).
Gorgeous illustration, Patricia! I like both showers and baths, but take showers most of the time because they are quicker.
ReplyDeleteI'd love a beautiful tub to soak in! Since we've yet to completely reno our 1940s baths, I am without my soaking tub...but one day!!
ReplyDeleteYour illustrations are just so lovely.
Ah yes, beautiful setting but I do prefer a shower.
ReplyDeleteShower in the morn, LONG bath in the eve! And if I had a fireplace next to my tub, I may never get out!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully illustrated as always.
ReplyDeletei am a shower girl but whenever i do jump in the bath i think..."why dont i do this more often"?
ReplyDeleteyour illustration is simply charming...as always it makes me smile... x pam
I actually think I may have been in grade school when I last took a bath! People tell me that I don't know what I'm missing out on. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou know, I think if I had a really great bath of my own I would prefer baths. As it is, I share the bathroom with the rest of my family and just think about cleaning it before bathing makes me reconsider!
ReplyDeleteI am a bath girl all the way. Bubbles galore. Candles, Music, the whole thing. Clawfoot tub, hot hot hot. Every single night.
ReplyDeleteIn fact....I am heading there now!!
I need my shower in the morning and save a bath for relaxing on the weekend.
ReplyDeletexo,
LuLu
Shower always in the morning; bath sometimes in the evening to relax.
ReplyDeleteI prefer a shower, but only because my tub is not a good "bath" tub. If I had a pretty freestanding tub in a bathroom that had a window that actually looked out onto something prettier than and pipe and a wall, I might reconsider....or the bathroom in your lovely illustration would be nice too!
ReplyDeletelove the luxury of the bath but the shower is the force that gets me going in the AM
