winter green

The color of winter green seems to be my new happy thing.  It is popping up wherever I go.
Love this lacquer business card box holder from Furbish.

An enamel green and gold bangle sure looks wintry fresh.
or these....that I spotted over here on etsy.
Just the sort of thing to make one think of spring in the midst of winter.

Spotted this beautiful yarn in this wonderful winter green.
Greens inspire me and make me happy.

What is your new happy now?

giving green

One of my favorite books and green things to give, "The Giving Tree."
Giving a lucky green silhouette to celebrate a special birthday makes a sweet gift.

Green with envy over these pretty earrings.
Giving green plants or green pears, who cares as long as it is green.

Dressed in green giving bunches of flowers looks rather elegant.
Did you ever think that giving green could be so fun!

greener grass

 How gorgeous is this
As the old adage goes, "The grass is always greener on the other side."
I have long admired the artwork of Fairfield Porter and the use of green.
The green lawn in the background provides such calm to the couples awkward silence.
The crossed arms say so much.
This wonderfully chic vignette also has a very special work of art, Made by Girl.
More green.  Greener grass.  I can never get enough green.

This week will be all about green.

gorgeous green

Green does happen to be one of my favorite colors.  I had a professor in college (long ago) who said that green was one color with the most hues.  So many beautiful and glorious greens, emerald, sage, chartreuse, hunter green, mint, loden and on and on.
I spied some lovely pots of clover at a local florist just the other day and started to think of all the gorgeous gardens, lush and green.

ever green

Bringing evergreens inside to adorn a table or a mantle spruces things up during the holidays.
Wearing a bit of holly green also looks fresh in a sea of red.
Racing green trousers look chic worn with neutrals.

Hunter Green Wellies seem right as rain during any down pour.
A dark green knitted snood spiffs up winter whites.
Green or any sort of green is elegant all year long.
Do you have any evergreen items that you love?

kentucky bibb lettuce

Truly, there are heavenly delights in Kentucky to savor and one of my personal favorites is a fresh salad made with Kentucky bibb, beets and arugula. Add a handful of toasted walnuts or pecans and hmm, hmm.

ever green

It is no secret that I adore the color green.  Please enjoy a collection of photos from Europe last year.  We stayed in several cities, but it was the country side which captured my heart.  I was impressed by all the green around me.
A water fall in the hills of Alsace Lorraine where we hiked.

A vineyard in Alsace.  Everywhere we looked there was green and I felt so happy.
What color makes you happy?
