meet Basil

Meet Basil.
If you have not met Basil, then allow me to introduce you to the little Darling who belongs to Reggie Darling.  You may have seen his post over here.  Remember to pronounce Basil like this "Bazzle" and not Bay-sil.

cruise control

Spring break is over. Time to get back to work. All that "chillin" and "hangin" with family has me wishing for my very own "cruise control" button. (Seriously, cruise control is a great invention.)
Cruise control sure came in handy for the 1,600 mile trek, I must admit, I am happy to be home.
Happy to chill.
Today I think I will enjoy a little peace and quiet while everyone eases back into thier respective routines, school and work. Don't mind me while I cruise a little while longer.

no testing or cruelty to animals at pve design, only pure testing of sheer wit and whim of said family dog, aka Bentley.

love me, love my dog

Anyone who has a dog usually lives by the old proverb - "Love me, love my dog" which literally means that you will love someone with all their faults and weaknesses.  If you have ever had a dog or been close to someone with a dog, then you know that this is the truth.  Love for a dog is like no other.  The love a dog gives is also everlasting.  In memory of "Ollie" - this illustration was done for his Master as a special gift from a stylish sister to one cool brother.  A work of art to serve as a loving memory and to provide comfort too.

beloved Moses

Just the other day, I went to see the movie, "Marley and me" and walked out with tears.  I had a dog growing up named "Snoopy" and remember to this day the call from my mother while I was away at college.  Snoopy was gone.  Our life with our dog Snoopy was gone, all in an instant.  I know what it feels like to lose a dog and the way you never ever forget them.
Earlier this month, I found myself here and felt compelled to draw this guy, "Moses" who is at rest and the most compelling post of the owner and Moses (January 3rd post).  I decided to draw him and his Master. I shall be posting a series of drawings that are dedicated to dogs that have gone before.  If you have a special photo of a canine (or feline) that you would like to have honored, please send me a photo.
