keep going

Finally framed and hung the "Just Keep Going" poster which was a gift from the "Jess LC-Business with intention workshop that I attended in Brooklyn a few months ago.
Jess will be closing her shop to keep sharing her business with intention workshops and one-on-one consulting.
Between shopping for new yarn and sending our twins back to college, a middle schooler back into the routine of school and after school activities, it seems we all have good things to just keep going.  Knitting too.  Yarn keeps us going.  I am hosting knitting today, just coffee or tea and a few nibbles.
Time to gather, take a moment to knit and to share stories to just keep us all going.
Beautiful neutrals for anytime of year paired with white, denim, gray or black.
Beautiful stitches to inspire us to just keep going.
Do you have something special to just keep going, to just keep looking forward to?

pretty happy things

I cannot lie.  I like pretty happy things.  Things like polished silver, polished furniture and my framed original art.

Sure, there are other things that make me pretty happy each day and I try to find them.  We could all focus on the not so pretty things but then how happy would that be?  What pretty things make you happy?
I am adding a few original items to etsy.

Saturday I will be attending the Jess LC business withe intention workshop over here.
I am pretty happy about this too.

a present

I am giving myself a present.  I shall be attending the Jess LC, Make under my life, Business with Intention workshop in New York in June.  What was the last gift or present you gave to yourself?
We all need reminders to "Be present" - to live in the moment and to Dream Bigger!
Do you have a dream that needs a little attention or a gift to share?

Very often these little gifts are just the thing to keep us going.
These posters would be the perfect gift for a graduate, a new Mother or a friend.
You can find them all at Jess LC.

my friend jess

I met Jess when I began reading her bubbly blog "make under my life" and had the pleasure of having dinner in Chicago two years ago with her when I was there illustrating a wedding for the exquisite wedding planner Marina Birch Design. I will be back in Chicago the end of July to illustrate another wedding for Birch Design Studio.

I think I need a Jess LC bag for the trip! Love this make-up zippered bag.
Jess is known for her fabulous Jess LC jewelry and now has added a great collection of bags called the Lake Shore collection. Jess will be in Macy's today from 5:30-7:30 at the State Street store in Chicago today for those of you lucky enough to go.
Take a look at her jewelry line and Lake Shore bags and totes, perfect for Summer.
I will be in Chicago the end of July and hope Jess has time to meet up with me.

Jess is one girl to watch!

netiquette

pve with jessLC ( I snagged this photo of Jess and I)
Dining here with fellow blogger and entrepreneur Jess LC was indeed a highlight of my weekend in Chicago.  Jess is one of the most efficient bloggers who shares resources for designing a life with intention.

Jess designs jewelry as well as provides small business advice, giveaway tips, scrumptious recipes all with the intent to design your best life.  Jess began her blog only in January as a way to journal her intentions.  I truly believe that Jess is working toward a book which will influence the expectations for a new type of social behavior.  Our actions can improve ones life through addition by subtraction.  I encourage you to email Jess with something that you would like to get rid of in order to make under your life.  Jess loves email and is the tops in netiquette.  I anticipate hearing great accomplishments about Jess in the future, she is not afraid to share nor to ask questions in order to design a life with powerful intentions. Intentional behavior can also be just thoughtful and deliberate goal-directedness.  Design a life of intention....and then tell Jess about your make under.  Trust me, it works!
