my creative outlet

Let's face it, everyone needs to have a creative outlet.  For as long as I was a little girl, I have been drawing, painting and creating.  Many people always comment that they cannot even draw a straight line.  I laugh and tell them "that's what rulers are for!"

Here is the advertisement in the New York times Metropolitan section with my illustrations for J.McLaughlin for the new outlet opened in Woodbury Centre Mall.  So for those of you that love to shop and also love saving, pop in to the new outlet shop.  The drawings have gotten great mileage and have certainly helped me to grow my creative business too.

I have another advertisement to share from my teenage days that was in a local paper for a shop.  Do you have a creative outlet that is just elementary or natural to who you are?

Good morning Patricia...the add looks wonderful!!! I will need to make sure to check out the J McLaughlin outlet the next time I am up there (not as often these days without a teenage daughter at home!).

It took me all my life to discover my creative outlet (I was a CPA, for goodness sakes!), but I have finally found it with my blog and it is SO fulfilling!

Enjoy your day! xoxo

Sandy,
Good Morning to you. I am so glad that you found your niche. I admire those that are good with numbers and I am glad that you added things up to find that blogging is a fulfilling outlet for you.
Wishing you a sunny day ahead.

I love your way of painting (drawing?) and the add is just great. Just the way it used to be in the earlier days. I think I found my creative outlet right here :). During school time I used to draw a lot, later I just forgot all about it. But tomorrow I go and buy a real nice pen and then I start. Can't wait to see how it turns out ;)
Creative regards

i agree with you, everyone needs a creative outlet. i teach full-time, but before that i studied art history - and still love art! right now my blog is the outlet, but maybe on summer break, i'll do a little painting? happy weekend, n

I seem to be courageous enough to paint only when I have a “teacher” I must show my work to and feel confident that I am learning…otherwise I seem to be paralyzed by fear.
