They enjoy cups of tea in the evening which warms my heart. One night we had a chat over three cups of tea. I always remind them that their father and I enjoyed having tea when we were dating long ago and still enjoy pots of freshly brewed tea.
So, next week I am planning on sending care packages of warm socks and some really good tea.
After all "warm feet equal warm hearts."
I'll package up some tea, and some warm socks and maybe one of these....
Just for a little sock monkeying around.
What are some things that are on your "all you need" list when you are away from home?

Slippers and comfy clothes for lounging in.
I hope your parents are on the path to recovery, and that you are drinking hot cups of tea.
You are in my thoughts, Patricia.
Patricia if you find you have an extra care package...well you have my address...;)
I hope your parents are ok and will be the life of the party again soon. My prayers go with you!

Debra,
Indeed, care packages are love in a box. I wish I could wrap myself and speed myself to your neck of the woods. I would be sure to bring tea n warm socks.
Off to KY, temps are to rise this weekend.
sunny skies ahead~

Ahhhh , care packages~ I am getting one ready to send to my son in Colorado!! Gathering a few of his favorite things....except Henry! She is still here with me.
Cheryl,
I would love a care package from you. I think you must be an expert care giver. I hope the care you give is returned twofold.

Patricia,
I know you have so enjoyed having your big boys home for a while...and I'm sure lots of great conversations over those cups of tea.
I love a care package....whether packing one or receiving one. And, warm socks and tea would be at the top of my list. I also love a great pen (those Le Pens are my current favorite), a notepad and camera!
Sending happy thoughts your way today!
xoxo Elizabeth
Fuzzy socks and warm tea were about all I could handle this weekend :) My husband and I are big fans of an evening cup of tea. We also drink English Breakfast Tea in the morning instead of coffee. Sounds like your sons are in for a real care package treat!
Homemade anything is wonderful. I missed my mom's bread the most when I was at college. Growing up, supper was usually a simple meal of toasted homemade bread and some canned pears :). Now you know where I get it from.
I hope your parents recover soon! In all that you have going on, I feel very fortunate that you left your kind message on my blog. It filled me with happiness.
Thank you for your friendship. I hope quick healing comes to your parents and I'm so glad you've enjoyed time with your sons.

Great idea! My littlest college boy is home for another two weeks - yippee!! But your post did think about getting him some toasty socks to keep him warm in his dorm room when he goes back up to school.
Take care and stay warm! xoxoxo
Sending cozy socks and tea in a care package will surely warms their hearts...I must remember to do this next January for Madeline. Hope your parents are doing okay.

Hi Patricia, So sweet--tea with sons. In our family it is really strong espresso coffee and lots of chats. When I leave home I miss the beasties the most....so I bond to any cat or dog that will have me. Sending prayers for your parents. Be well.

Care package! I would get so excited to receive a package from home(and still do) + I knew inside there would be lots of love + goodies! Blessings to your parents for a speedy recovery. xxpeggybraswelldesign.com
