As the clear colors of summer suddenly change, a part of me longs to hang on to the cool blues.
Indigo has long been a favorite color. My bridesmaids wore long navy sheath dresses. This week will mark my 25th anniversary.
A brilliant blue scarf would certainly add a hip cool vibe to my wardrobe.
So would this royal blue tote. It also comes in orange from here.
The first day of Autumn and I am inspired by The house of blue leaves and want to bring blue to add a chill factor to the rush of Autumn.

I'm very excited about fall! I broke out my blue and navy rugby shirt this week, and hope to be reaching for my navy cable crewneck soon.
John,
There is something about navy that just never goes out of fashion. Navy blue is classic all year. I am wearing a navy cardigan now!
Happy First day of Autumn.

Happy 25th anniversary! I hope you have a wonderful day.
Really love all those blue leaves prints! Indigo and navy are two of my favorite neutral colors, and look great with French blue! I have a little of these in every room of my house. Happy anniversary! We just celebrated our 29th last week.
beautiful post, patricia. and i caught the play 'the house of blue leaves' on pbs many moons ago and loved it. thanks for the reminder of it...donna
Happy 25th Anniversary Patricia. I wish you a beautiful year and many more to come!
What an interesting thought! Actually, blue, in its many shades seems to work so well with autumn and its changing moods!
Indigo is my favorite color--especially the indigo on chinese export porcelain. I even sleep better in an indigo room. Beautiful thoughts. Happy Anniversary, it's a big one.
