Sunday shelf - fresh flowers

This is a painting that my sister Liz did from an arrangement I had sent to her. This Summer her travel plans changed as she has some surgeries and treatments on the calendar to tend to. Breast Cancer has touched so many of us. I appreciate your thoughts and collective prayers for my sister during this time of healing.

I just want to encourage her to continue to paint and to smell the fresh flowers.
Enjoy each day and bring home some fresh flowers on Sunday!
Better yet, send them to someone you love.

  20. We Lizs are a special world of Lizzies, Libbas, Beths, Lizards, Lizas--ad infinatum. I will send your Liz prayers for healing and recovery. I will also tell my Aunt Liz (fantastic nun), Cousin Lizzie (best ever) and daughter Liza (excellent legacy) to send light and wellness to your Liz. We will be pulling for her. I believe in the power of prayer, and you were so right to ask.
    xoxo

  21. Thank you for sharing your sister's wonderful painting. I'm also sending lots of hope and prayer for your sister. It's so hard to understand what someone goes through with cancer. I was diagnosed last year with breast cancer while I was pregnant with our first baby and had to start chemo when I was 29 weeks pregnant. My Dad was also diagnosed the year before with breast cancer, unusual for a man. I'm so glad that my Dad, my son Jakob and myself are happy and healthy. I trust that soon your sister will also be the same. Life is so very precious!
